Aquaman debuted with $67mn amidst a very competitive December opening and came out tops with a billion dollars. I remember how people were laughing then because it had the weakest DCEU opening. From what I've seen and heard from almost every top film industry analyst or commentator, WB have struck GOLD with the critics. And all concur it'd be a crowd pleaser. It's only the big stiff competition this summer that's making me cautiously optimistic. SOZINN:Tears upon tears..... Just thank James Gunn for giving your franchise the needed win it so badly needed when Kevin Feige and his recent "quantity over quality" approach took MCU to new lows. I'm just pained the werey actually slowed down and shifted some projects forward. Most likely a Bob Iger move sef to save the franchise from oversaturation and mediocrity. All these talk about Gold Standard na shalaye... Cos moviegoers and industry watchers very well know if you're looking for top of the line storytelling and acting, DC is the real go to. The awards and laurels says otherwise, Oscars wise and Emmys wise. Na no reach. MCU get away with a lot of shits, that's why you people sit pretty and make cocky comments. IMDB as usual selecting movies and shows to use rating protection... If not for rating protection...The Little Mermaid would have 2/10 on IMDB It's the same thing that Rotten Tomatoes are doing...that Audience score of 95% is fake... If they remove rating protection, The Little Mermaid won't have above 50% Audience score There are tons of other shows/movies that get review bombed even before the movie/series/episode drops...but IMDB does nothing to protect them... It's a very unfair system Sha...they protect some movies, but don't protect others... Just like how Ozymandias can never drop from 10.0 no matter how review bombed it is...but Breaking Bad fans can happily review bomb other shows
