Fortunately, the incoming was among those who packaged the failure for Nigeria in 2015. He who brings an ant-infected wood shouldn't complain the pain of its sting

Buhari set the biggest traps for the tinubu govt.. I hope Tinubu administration will not fall into the trap set by imf requesting for increased revenue. If the government explore new areas then no problem but to further improverish the people through increased taxes will undermine the government. A government that lacks popular support already. Buhari did great damage everyday for 8 years. He topped it with Nigeria Air and a national dis- homour.award. it will take a miracle for the tinubu administration to be impactful.

That's why only Bola Ahmed Tinubu can turn things around.

He's the only one with balls to right the wrongs.

He's got the political will and he's best known to assemble the best brains.

This sounds familiar. Seven years into his administration, Mohammadu Buhari was still blaming the PDP for easily rectifiable problems. You and your principal are going down that road - and it means you have failed before you have even begun.

You are falling to pieces at the first real challenge. Defend your position without insults and if you can't do without them, then let them be cerebral ones at least. But you won't be allowed to run away without a response. Respond!

A leader with a mental illness cannot pull up a leadership team talkless of turning a state into an economic powerhouse raising IGR into billions of naira. A leader with a mental illness cant do that. I remember his time as Lagos Governor, his cabinet were full of financial wizards and technocrats. A false leader does not see greatness in others, while a true keader see greatness and leadership in other and allows them to thrive in order to impact society. Jagaban, you are indeed a leader, you understand leadership and power. You indeed earned respect among your peers as master strategist.

The time for online hagiography has passed. It is now time for your principal to actually perform or forever be damned.

The clock starts now.

If you're in Abuja, and wish to be there, feel free to join me at Gwarinpa so we could go together. I'm an integral part of the protocols there for today

I'm very far away from Abuja but thanks for the invitation all the same.

Remember: not all criticism of the establishment is destructive. Some of us do want this country to work - because we have nowhere else to go. None of us gets any special points if Tinubu and his party fail. We gain absolutely nothing if he fails - apart from the satisfaction of being able to say "I told you so". And what good does that do for anyone? undecided

Unfortunately, the omens do not look good at all. And that's why we speak up the way we do. And we will continue to do so.

Do have a good day, sir. Once again thanks for the invite.

In the character of big cities worldwide, Lagos is a hard, unforgiving place. It is not known for hospitality or kindness.

Lagos is not a calming or soothing place. It is a place of unbridled aggression. Unlike let's say a Cross River or Akwa Ibom, or a Plateau (before things took a terrible turn in the 1980s & 1990s), Lagos is not particularly welcoming of strangers - in fact, once it is clear you are a JJC, you will lose the shirt on your back.

Lagos doesn't do lovely. It is a brutal place with no love on its streets.

Well, I still beg to differ.

Every city has its challenges, and Lagos is no exception.

Again, where you reside, work and hangout in Lagos also play a major role.

Your story is filled with too many past tense...
The Jagaban you see today is very different from the one that ruled Lagos twenty something years ago.

To each his own.

You are right though with your last sentence.

Whenever I want to make the mistake of letting my guard down in this city, I paraphrase what a foreigner said in an article about Lagos some years ago:

"There is a sculpture of 3 men (probably titled chiefs) at the old toll gate with a sign saying "This is Lagos". Other big cities worldwide usually have signs saying "Welcome to so and so". With Lagos it is different. The words are ominous, threatening and they tell you all you need to know". cheesy
