jonathan was too weak for a Nigerian leader, he had every aparatus at his disposal to dismantle every nonsense the APC was planning, but no, he wants to be a gentleman in Nigerian politics.

besides his 6 years tenure was filled with corruption and insecurities, what nigerians never saw before.....i would say GEJ was actually the root cause of where we are now.
He made Buhari to emerge and now Tinubu.Remove Jega,he was afraid of what opposition would say.

No need for all these Regrets.

The Truth is that the Northern Cabal/Power brokers and some SW Elements
will NEVER be comfortable with a Southern Christian President. embarassed sad

They will Frustrate, Bully and try to Remote control him.😒

Remember how Goodluck Jonathan was almost Sidelined and Stopped from becoming President in May 2010.😔

The Agenda of APC and the Powerful Northern Elements in Nigeria
is for every President to Either be a NORTHERNER or a YORUBA MUSLIM. undecided

That's the thing with you Obidients. Your goal post is always mobile. I've never seen a people so untrue to their words like your cult. Meanwhile, I believe David is under Peter Obi's payroll. He's not doing anything out of patriotism or loyalty. He doesn't even believe in God, not more of "a new Nigeria". Anyway, no one should take him seriously. He forever damaged his " reputation " with that Oxford University imbroglio.

I don't blame the people who participated in that exercise as they were ill informed at the time and were desperate for good governance. My only shock is that certain people have not learned from the experience. They still misconstrue propaganda as facts due to their religious affiliations and ethnocentric attachment. What qualifies you a human if you can't think for yourself? This is the reason why the government is able to scam us and get away with it because of such individuals
I blame them... There were debates as that time and i followed the debates with an open mind.. I knew that moment that we don't need the subsidy..

“Who is subsidizing who?” Now, Nigeria have so much accumulated humongous debts from monies embezzled under his government disguised as paying subsidy under his watch.

"How Buhari spent N8trn on ‘non-existent’ petrol subsidies"
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/05/how-buhari-spent-n8trn-on-non-existent-petrol-subsidies/

Then one is tempted to ask what was Buhari, Tinubu, and co thinking in 2014 when they organised Ojota and Abuja "occupy/save Nigeria" protests based on lies and propaganda to demonise a government that meant Nigeria well on this same issue? Blood wicked hypocrites
but look at how he blatantly contradicted himself

Other tribes need to understand that the yorubas are the most envious , tribalistic, manipulative tribe in Nigeria ... they always want others downfall ...they are the real definition of hypocrisy... the only tribe they dontvm attack are the fulani cos they know the consequence of trying that ... reason they hate the igbos alot is because the igbos are the only tribe that speaks up about how manipulative they are ... Jonathan is not igbo but Ijaw , but Igbos supported him ... these same Tinubu and his goons destroyed his reputation thru the media

Karma doesn't come in the hereafter anymore but now,Buhari once referred to subsidy as a fraud but we were met with rude shock to see him being part of the fraud for solid 8years of his administration.Tinubu also resisted it in 2014,if subsidy regime were allowed to have taken a journey to the point of no return since 2012 we would've been through with it long time ago but some individuals rose up against it for selfish political reasons.Buhari administration used semantics like: underrecovery, deregulation, etc to conceal subsidy payment its lies were exposed after N8trn had been made in subsidy payment.

I listened to the whole debate on subsidy back then and I supported it's removal...I so trust that woman called Okonjo Iweala so much. The fact that she was the mastermind of it, I believed she was right.

But Nigerians una no gree. The same people that said there against subsidy, became those that said there was no subsidy and later confused themselves that there is subsidy and now they have removed that same subsidy of since 2012.

Gej supposed use soldiers flog crace from una body for 2012. Shoot any miscreant when won commit crime..... because that dude had human sympathy una take am for granted

Person day here day talk say Gej regime was very corrupt, what insolence....

Make Dem tell una how much loss for Buhari regime if una no go collapse. Yet hungry won kill una ...

LOL....you guys should stop all this 'They fooled the masses' schitck.

Fuel subsidy has been there since 1973. That means even people like Abacha....yes, the Abacha who feared no protest, or no man, and was a harsh dictator, did not remove it....because they knew that it would mean the end of themselves being in power.

Ditto GEJ.

The sad thing is, we are now paying for past Nigerian leaders, starting from Gowon who started the nonsense, failing to remove subsidy. All they did was partially remove subsidy, but to remove the whole thing, dem no gree.

Now Tinubu has to remove it.....or else we would run out of money totally. And then the IMF will come in and take over, along with the Chinese.

That's politics for you. GEJ was a weak leader, and the opposition even though knew subsidy had to go used it against him.

Now you all know that Tinubu is extremely intelligent. He is the master of the game called Nigerian politics.

His intelligence was also used in splitting PDP into 3 (divide and conquer) just before the elections). Reno once said Tinubu has the face of a slow person, but he is extremely intelligent.
Another emotionally charged information. How was GEJ as a weak leader because of this. Wasted education

So why did tinubu fight against it and called it a scam wen Jonathan wanted to remove it for a reduced fuel price as at then?
