. so i made some calls. removal of subsidy is official. price of PMS will vary according to region/location. price in lagos is n488 . it is over n500 in abuja.

the logic of raising prices right now is as follows - from june, ex depot price of pms will also go up. that means that the station dealers [the last link in the chain] will have to raise capital to buy at the new rates or go out of business. the price of a truck of pms will more than double.

it now remains to be seen if we will have true deregulation or status quo will remain

right now only nnpc is officially bringing in product.
