Police officers in South Africa were pictured voluntarily cleaning the streets on Wednesday in Soweto in Johannesburg after residents protested over poor supply of electricity in the area.

Various SA cities have different utilities aimed at cleaning the streets on a daily basis. It is rare to see the police doing this.
