The way our positions on issues keep changing is befuddling some months back you were in support of subsidy removal and your wish has been granted by the new Sheriff and it's now you remember that the masses will suffer, may God cure us of our insincerity because that's one of the things affecting our growth and development.
As for me my position still remains our economy is fuel driven and hurriedly implementing the removal of subsidy few months after the cash crunch is not good. However, I will adjust to the new reality while calling for others to do same and exercise patience and restraint.

Is this not what people you call insincere are complaining about too?

Yar'adua didn't get the chance..man was sick from the start of his administration.

Buhari stop fuel subsidy, but drop the balls on the intended May removal date.

Tinubu said it during his campaign, announced the removal during his inauguration and still stand by it....He gat the balls none of those you mentioned has.

On Obj....who started the so called fuel subsidy in the first place?
How long does it takeba president to remove subsidy that yaradua couldn't.

Buhari allowed extreme looting and couldn't remove it because he was too focused on borrowing for less important projects for 8years despite Abacha's credit alerts

It doesn't take balls put people into hardship....it is an heartless decision cos d effect is directed to d vulnerable.

Removal of subsidy isn't an issue but what is on ground to help d poorest........u don't just remove it then begins to solution.......you create solutions b4 removal....

Part of their complaint to give it weight, I'm seeing we dont trust govt so they shouldn't remove it at all.

The the man never get to use half of his first tenure sir, but he never showed any sign of subsidy removal.

Segedinho:

Buhari failed the economy and the so callee anti-corruption is a scam that I won't denie..he also perfomed pretty well in some sector.

Segedinho:

It doesn't take balls put people into hardship....it is an heartless decision cos d effect is directed to d vulnerable.

It not an heartless decision...we can't continue fuel subsidy anymore, by doing so we are only postponing our suffering to promaxx level.

Subsidy does not go beyond june does it?

The present administration is not even 2weeks old...they need time. But we all must accept the fact that subsidy is gone for good.

Same thing we are saying,he didn't remove it cos he understood d problem the people would face afterwards if nothing is put in place but he didn't borrowed heaven and earth either.
what you called performance is what dropped us into this situation...borrow borrow n borrow despite Abacha's credit alert

It not an heartless decision...we can't continue fuel subsidy anymore, by doing so we are only postponing our suffering to promaxx level.
You are missing the point...removal of subsidy is good but things must be ideal b4 embarking...we are not ready yet cos cost of governance as well as corruption is the issue we have....no stable light..no security of farm products...it is heartless if the conditions of the poor isn't addressed properly.

Subsidy does not go beyond june does it?
Yea.but all of a sudden,it happened in May when everyone were unprepared n d nation not ready...minimum wage is roughly equivalent to 60 ltr of fuel...

The present administration is not even 2weeks old...they need time. But we all must accept the fact that subsidy is gone for good.
They need time to think and plan b4 embarking on a life saving saga...as it is now,it is goin to be backward due to reaction from NLC and other folks....there would be daily loss in economy when the strike is activated.....u don't remove something as sensitive as subsidybon ur first day even without official ministers to give advice on how to go about it.

NB:As it stands now,Subsidy should go (despite no trust)but it must be gradual and things put in place.

Is removing subsidy an achievement?

I think the real achievement is what is done after that. As it stands now, the present government is failing in that regards.

Tinibu the arms dealer has not yet started, and there is gnashing of teeth..

You guys should save these teeth gnashing for the later stages.. that time you will know what it means by a country to be run like a drug cartel..

Una Neva see something..

Let no body blame anyone making ends meet out of this mess.. just try to look for a way to make your own ends meet and take advantage of this drug run country sad

These folks called Buhari hero of Democracy ffs! They celebrated Buhari when Naira was damn scarce as well as fuel before Election.

They saw nothing wrong in it and appealing to rest of us that its for the greater good. They can bear the pains for Obi to emerge but can't bear it for Nigeria to succeed?!

Cutting their cost is a way of saying we are all in it...we can't be crying for 7.2t and be paying unnecessary bonuses while d poorest dies of hunger...

If they are too dull or dishonest to say the true reflection of our daily consumption and (2) are too corrupt to disallow smuggling of d fuel then they should continue d paying until they are ready....

In addition...How much does Nigeria make per year from same crude??.....
