Raumdeuter, you were asking if bottled water has fake ones.

This one na small scale producer oh

This is why I don't buy any bottled water other than Eva and Cway. If it isn't this two, I'm not buying. And I have only 3 places where I buy.. two at work, one at home.

I clearly typed 3 months there. Did you not see it? Did I say they should do it forever?

And which one is we cannot define who is rich and poor in Nigeria?

Just last year, the same FG said 133 million are living in poverty. So what other stringent measure do you need to classify a poor Nigerian, when for every 3 you pick, one is poor?

How long do you think a man earning 30k a month would keep up to his job, before he resorts to crime, since his cost of living has skyrocketed on a budget of 30k?

All your solutions has no relation to to what i typed. You can stop oil theft and wait for Dangote to serve millions, while providing little reliefs here and there for people who are poor.
how you go take determine the poor and with which statistics?

You think đŸ’Ŧ say now, if FG decide say Dem go disburse Money 💰 to the poor, it will actually reach them?

Money that they will corner at the middleman chain ⛓ī¸, th people responsible for sharing the money 💰 will just corner half of it, then the remaining half, disburse it to their families and friends.. that's it, 50 billion naira has been disbursed to pooor Nigerians cool

You go bow for the result cool

Is removing subsidy an achievement?

I think the real achievement is what is done after that. As it stands now, the present government is failing in that regards.

Failing when it not even a a month old?

You Obidient followers are just funny.

Same thing we are saying,he didn't remove it cos he understood d problem the people would face afterwards if nothing is put in place but he didn't borrowed heaven and earth either.

Yaradua is a figure he wasn't the one running the government, infact during his first year man was clueness.

Segedinho:

what you called performance is what dropped us into this situation...borrow borrow n borrow despite Abacha's credit alert
How much is the total credit alert of Abacha loot again? That you think it enough to carter for our spending as a country.

Segedinho:

You are missing the point...removal of subsidy is good but things must be ideal b4 embarking...we are not ready yet cos cost of governance as well as corruption is the issue we have....no stable light..no security of farm products...it is heartless if the conditions of the poor isn't addressed properly.
The new government just got in power for Godsake...give them time.

Segedinho:

Yea.but all of a sudden,it happened in May when everyone were unprepared n d nation not ready...minimum wage is roughly equivalent to 60 ltr of fuel...
[/b]
They need time to think and plan b4 embarking on a life saving saga...as it is now,it is goin to be backward due to reaction from NLC and other folks....there would be daily loss in economy when the strike is activated.....u don't remove something as sensitive as subsidybon ur first day even without official ministers to give advice on how to go about it.

Susbsidy has been removed since before the handover do I don't understand the... they enbark saga...
As for NLC and others, this time around subsidy won't be reinstated all they can do is join hands with this administration for what we all know will favour us in the long run.

Remove subsidy first day in office when?

Does subsidy goes beyond june?

Was there any budget for subsidy beyond?

You guyz are something else o.

Segedinho:

NB:As it stands now,Subsidy should go (despite no trust)but it must be gradual and things put in place.

Subsidy removal has been finalized before now...it is gone, we better adapt to it.

Born-again pseudo-humanists. grin

Laughing when people were dying of hunger and were forced to climb banks to get their own money. Lying on the general Nigerian populace (including those who died during that period) that they willingly agreed to suffer through an ultimately pointless exercise.

Now the pseudo-humanists have found God and are shedding egbere and crocodile tears about the plight of the people. The same people that they were laughing at a few months ago.

We just need to set the record straight for the sake of posterity and history. Crocodile tears should not move anybody.

People died that time. Should more people continue dieing now?

To balance the equation.

People that hid cartons of indomie meant for palliative during covid, a period when people were forced to not work and still survive.

Our politicians hid away all the bags of rice and cartons of indomie. What the hell!!!

Our leaders are acting like desperate and hungry animals than the poor masses.

Let me react to just one of your post cos ot seems we are miles away from agreement.

Subsidy was stated to end in June but ended in May...wasn't that breach of agreement?don't give me no money excuse abeg.....

It doesn't make sense to begin a search for solution after removing something as sensitive as fuels subsidy wch happened to be the epicentre of our existence in this country.....

It still baffles me when you guys believes things thrown out by a Nigerian politicians after the enough shege we have seen.....

The most recent one that would have made everyone disdain and call out our politicians is the airline but because of our 2kb memory we are satisfied......

What happens if things are as it were then communications linger on with some obvious evidences to believe him b4 d June 30th

..........â‚Ļ30k per week or month? I know situation in the country is bad, but how can Someone be comfortable with â‚Ļ30k per month?

What happens to alternative source of income like running POS business? Well, I strongly hope palliatives are in the plan and will be rolled out soon to cushioning the effects.

Bro, we can easily relate to this. You can even see as low as 10k per month.

To start pos requires a minnimum of 100k. Nah from 10k monthly stipend one go get 100k from?

Those who know what is ahead look for menial jobs whenever one is available.

This was a hit back to back.
This sums it up nicely. The issue isn't about the removal of the subsidy but the very terrible enactment of the withdrawal.

Nigeria is known to run a diesel economy, in the sense that our economy, our businesses, our factories within the country are powered by independent power plants. Crude is the most single important commodity in this country.

Seeing an overnight switch to triple prices without any sort of cushioning effect is massively catastrophic.

The new government was extremely careless in it's handling of this. It's that simple. Imagine that you don't yet have a finance minister, a minister of the economy, a petroleum minister, you've not yet set up any economic advisory team and you just announce such a major major policy change without envisioning the catastrophic consequences?

That's just careless. That's a gross misstep. It's getting worse because everyone is apprehensive as to what happens next. The next few weeks are heavily pregnant indeed. Let's keep watching the actions or inactions of this temporal government.
