Apostle Paul was the kind of person that was super careful, he tried as much as possible to avoid sin, to the extend that he advised virgins to stay unmarried if they can. He majorly taught us not smell or touch sin so that we won't act on it. If Eve did not touch or smell the fruit in the Garden of Eden, she wouldn't have felt that it looks good to the extent of eating it. In 1 Timothy 2:9, Paul did not advise women to avoid wearing ornaments because it was a sin but because it could lead to sin. 1 Timothy 2:9 was only explaining that our physical beauty is not what matters, it was not condemning earring.

Some of the doctrines we are practicing today are punishment meant for Israel at a time when they were rebellious and some were just temporary commandments used to control specific situations. In Exodus 33:5-6, the Israelites did stopped wearing earring for a while not forever.

They generally use leather wristwatches. You cant even wear trousers to deeper life church as a Female unlike what is obtainable at Oyedepo's Winners chapel and christ Embassy.

Even under same Christiandom, jehovah's witnesses do not donate Blood or accept Blood transfusion. EVERY christian Church has their standards.

For earrings, don't bother trying. Find a church where their doctrine allows for such. In fact, there are "churches" you can wear ashewo gowns to, what won't happen is you force your identity on an institution that doesn't embrace it.

Leave the church with their doctrine and go to where they'll accept your dress code.
Don't try changing them for your sake.

I am tired of these stories of people like you trying to force change in institutions like the church thereby assuming an activists role of some sort. If your church has had that doctrine since and you suddenly do not like it, then LEAVE. There are many churches that do wear ear rings, so you are free to move instead of trying to prove nothing and only bringing the church (body of Christ) to disrepute. There are universities where they wear uniforms to attend classes and the likes and they have students and those students even pay more than those who have their liberties. Every institution has its rule. I don't know why when it comes to church matter, we suddenly grab popcorn and become OAP for the matter

Well,I will not say what they did was good or not good,but if it were our ministry,you can wear anything you like, even undies or anything for that matter,we will welcome, nobody will tell you to change when the teaching start,it is you that will stop coming or decide to change, because the system will sort you out.it is a design of heaven on earth.We are teaching ministry.
