You have to be a child or one with dawn's syndrome to think that 1966 was the first killings. There were killings in kano and other parts of the North in the late 40s and 50s.

Nzeogwu and his gangs are military people and are not elected by Igbos. You can only hold Igbos responsible for the action of Azikiwe and Okpara because they voted those two.

Its like holding the kanuri people responsible for Abacha's actions, thats gross f0oliznes
Stop being clever by half, the first blood shed that drew the highest ethnic cry was tagged the igbo coup, you guys killed both military and civilians, spared your own and installed your people.

Igbo amakas really need to change their behaviors to gain positive recommendation from other tribes in Nigeria.

Give Igbo man 1 inch, he will claim the rest and chase you out.

Greed is their culture

E.g where did this one happened?

Because I know u are bastard liar.

I have never seen nor heard an igbo man drag land with Yorubas except he was scammed?

Igbos will remain resilient even if it means u hating him.

We are blessed and we shall continue to be till eternity. Not even ur collective hates will deter us from being achievers.

The simplicity it takes an igbo man to achieve something is what it would take many of u haters years and juju to achieve just 1%.

Rethink your life and stop the hates.

The origin of the Igbo hatred in Nigeria as explained by prominent Nigerians that are not from Igbo tribe:

Many honest Nigerians that are not Igbos can boldly attest to the fact that individually, they have no single case against the Igbos but right from their individual homes while growing up, their parents, uncles and even grandparents once told them forged stories of how bad Igbos were even before they themselves met an Igbo person they already developed total hatred for anybody from the Igbo tribe.
Nobody hates the Igbo tribe but what you guys are dishing out is what you are getting.

An average Igbo man especially the semi-literate ones are not humble, they are like empty barrel.

How many people dislike Hausa Fulani for killing innocent people in there farms across
the country, sacking people in their community, renaming people ancestral land to fit there culture or for being Boko haram rather the rehabilitate them and fix them back in to the government.
Raskimonojendor:

This woman is economical with the truth. We all know how the ibos dominated the North civil service and taunted northerners before and after the coup that took out Amhadu Bello, tafawa Balewa, Akintola and other non-ibo leaders. That's the origin of the Ibo dislike in Nigeria.

Your people can take a lesson or two in humility and not being boastful. Reduce your crimes outside Nigeria as well. The crime is the origin of the dislike outside Nigeria.

Indeed.

Sometime last month, Reno Omokri whose father is Urhobo and mother is Itsekiri wrote about how his uncle, the iconic Okotie Eboh (an Itsekiri Chief and Finance Minister of Nigeria) along with other prominent politicians and Senior Military officers, were gunned down by those majorly Ibo "schoolboy" coup plotters in the January 1966 coup.

Reno wrote about how post-January 1966 coup, Ibos living in the North and East of Nigera proceeded to jubilate and openly taunt and insult others through media articles and songs (which is still going on as of today) and he had to report those Obi supporters to Obi, but Obi could not call to order his majorly Ibo supporters who were always insulting and mocking others online and offline.

These led to the reprisal attacks on Ibos in the North in 1966. Nnamdi Azikiwe confirmed all these narcissistic tauntings by some Ibos in the pamphlet he wrote on the immediate causes of the Nigerian Civil War.

Chinua Achebe also wrote about the notorious Ibo narcissism in his last published book:

β€œI will be the first to concede that the Igbo as a group is not without its flaws. Its success can and did carry deadly penalties: the dangers of hubris, overweening pride, and thoughtlessness, which invite envy and hatred or, even worse, than can obsess the mind with material success and dispose it to all kinds of crude showiness. There is no doubt at all that there is a strand in contemporary Igbo behavior that can offend by its noisy exhibitionism and disregard for humility and quietness.” ~ Achebe

It is no longer news that in Nigeria, a particular tribe seems to receive the most hateful and disapproval from other Nigerian tribes, and guess the tribe? It is the ever resilient tribe known as the Igbos.

The only thing that unites every other Nigerian tribe in Nigerian politics is the hatred against Igbos. Once you want to rally Hausa, Fulani Yorubas, Kanuri, etc tribes, just come up with a consensus against the Igbos and all the above named tribes will wholeheartedly come to agreement, but when it comes to progressive thoughts and issues of national development, these tribes will never agree or sincerely work together to develop Nigeria, but once it involves hating on Igbos or working against Igbo politically, these tribes will never have a single disagreement and as a neutral observer, you maybe wondering why this is so?

Sit back and watch some prominent Nigerians from other tribes who aren't Igbos confess how the hatred against Igbos started even before the independence.

It will shock you to hear how other tribes have unjustly ganged up against Igbos based on false information, propaganda and twisted histories.

You spent so much time writing this trash ? Terrible.
When more than 3 tribes and even your eastern neighbours, say that you are bad and hateful, does it not o cur to you that they must be right ?
You need to focus the searchlight on yourself.

Personally, I don't blv anyone hated Igbos.
And if there's any Igbo that feel so, more investigation is needed into how it all started. Matters aren't taken from the top but the base. Wetin cause the hate?
Those Igbos that feel they hate then need to widen their knowledge about Nigerian history. They need to know the begining of certain trends. People like Chimamanda always avoid Jan 1966 issue.
That BB Nija Pere didn't see anything with Igbos that has bullied people online. Especially those that are neutral in this concluded election.
Pere wasn't born in January 1966 but he can't phantom the history. He should read about how Azikiwe antagonized another southerner for presidential slot that he knew he can't win.
Don't dish what you can't take.
You can't say anything contrary on LIB and mobs won't come after you. Even Indians chop hate when they published items on Tinubu.
