Some of them were not convinced you can do the job or they hired someone else. Just the way they asked you to share your CV with them, they asked others too.

The one I once experienced was an HR Manager who asked me to share my work samples. Afterwards, she was impressed and asked for my fees. When I told her, she read my message and not reply again.
