This is not the right time to be a police officer in Nigeria and if you join without certificate you won't go far

It a welcome decision to me if you join the force but pls sanitizer the place as I have a daughter I wish will join one day and make the difference

Guy, I will advice you to take the job and forget about degree for now except you're studying a professional course that guarantee job after graduation. Getting job now is very difficult, having a degree is now equivalent to having an SSCE result.

Education is important, but we live in a country that having a degree certificate isn't going to take you anywhere unless you are well connected, high unemployment today is real, so decide carefully.
You can do part time program later.

What's education for you. Only in Nigeria that you see people going to school just to secure job. Education cannot give you money but it can help to be productive.

Why did you have to enter a higher institution if you had a goal of joining police, na the same position you go still Occupy(cadet or corporal)

Secure the job first as the future looks bleak for job seekers in Nigeria.Since you are in 200L,well you could lose a year during the course of your training.

After ur training ensure you are deployed where your school is domiciled,an arrangement can be fashioned between yourself and your boss if he is understanding. You maybe lucky and get a schedule that affords you the opportunity to complete ur degree.

You may later tender your certificate with proper guidance and be upgraded to an Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP).

Waive your program for a year

After training...

Work your posting to Sango Div or any division near UI

Then you continue with studies

I'm sure your Boss would give you leverage

I will advice you to finish your degree, as a non degree holder, the senior officers will downgrade your life and make you work like a slave because you'll be termed [b]recruit who is a nobody in any of the force (police + military). Write this down, if you join the police or military without a degree, you'll regret it.

Your Degree has more potentials than being a police officer.

I’d advise you to take the job at least it will save you from police brutality too, and also venture into different Types of business later in the future
