My usual advise to any gender in a violent relationship in Nigeria is to seek refuge far away from the abuser. This is because the law is never reliable to rescue the situation. Leave before he/she kills you.....simple!

Meanwhile, we both know that under normal circumstance, a man's physical strength is no match with a woman's so when a man is on the receiving end of physical abuse, one wonders what he's still in the relationship for....the children, finances, shame or sex? That's usually why women endure domestic abuse. What do you think this guy's excuse could be?
