Historically and/or currently, it's in the title. Igbo people reject Islam. They have not allowed Islam to spread in Igboland. Igboland is heavily Christian with the traditional religions. There are literally more Igbo Jews than Igbo muslims. Igbo muslims are rare, shunned and ostracised. Igbos muslims are called "Hausa" mockingly at best and are subjected to violence and isolation at worst. Mosques have been burnt in Igboland.
The Biafrans should they get their own nation plan to ban Islam. Prominent Biafran leaders such as Kanu (currently) and Ojukwu (historically) depised Islam and aligned them themselves with Israel/Jews. Designated enemies of muslims and Islam. I've never known an Igbo that supported Arab/muslim causes. Igbos are strongly pro-Israel. Despite Igbos being unaffected by the Fulani Jihad historically, Igbos are the tribe that are the most suspicious of and willing to challenge Fulanis/ Northerners. Rejecting Islam is rejecting/resisting Fulanis/Northerners and their socio-political control.

The Tiv peopl heavily resisted the Fulani Jihads. I'm grateful for that. The terrorist Dan Fodio was killed by a Tiv arrow.

I'm not even Igbo but one thing i appreciate them for is remaining homogenous and rejecting that religion. When Nigeria becomes an Islamic state( at current trends it will) Igboland will be the only place of refuge.

You people are very funny! You kept shouting Igbo rejected Islam as if the story was true.

Can you tell me how they (Igbo people rejected Islam or fought against jihad)? Christianity only came to Nigeria in 1515 through the Portuguese. Lagos and Benin had the first contact where the palace of Benin king was used for teaching of how to read the bible, write and arithmetic.

You kept mentioning Ojukwu of yesterday as if Islam just came to Nigeria during his time.

To set the record straight, Islam couldn't spread to that area because of (1) there was no easy route to link the region to the North where the country had the first contact with Islam in the 9th century.
(2) there was no trade and commerce between the two region that could warrant the spread of the religion to that part of the country (3) Language barrier couldn't permit such.

Fact check: There are verses or words from a chapter in the Quran known as Suratul Qamar, those verses were revealed in the year 614 and Aisha said she was a child playing outside with her peer when the verses were revealed. This contradict the age of 9 assigned to Aisha when she got married to the Prophet because Aisha was reported to have come this world in 614.

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri that while he was sitting with Allah's messenger we said, "Oh Allah's messenger, we got female captives as our booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?" The prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence."

Pls, take your time to read the reason behind the wars fought by the prophet, you would realize they are defensive in nature. How do you think it is possible for 313 Muslim soldiers to attack over 1500 pagan soldiers after the Muslims fled Mecca to medina in order to escape persecution.

As for the slavery, you should have noticed displeasure in the prophet's response in that Hadith and again, it was not the prophet that was accounting for the slaves rather, it was the desciples.
