Your comment is only true is there are only 2 strong candidates in the election.

In a situation where there are four strong candidates like in the last election, it is quite possible to win only one state and still win the election .

It is the margin with which you are loosing or winning that matters..as long as you maintain a close margin to whoever is winning among the other 3 candidates and win wirh a strong margin in the single state , you will still win the election...that is what happenened to BAT in the northwest.
U are absolutely wrong and confused. The election did not only take place in Northwest. BAT won in 12 states of the federation according to INEC. If we have only 4 strong candidate in a presidential election and 3 candidates won in about 11 states each out of the 36 States. It will be impossible for the other Candidate who won in just one state to score the highest number of votes. He can get over 25% votes in more than 24 states. I'm talking of getting the highest number of votes which is the first requirement to be declared the winner of the presidential election. If BAT had won in just one state, it would have been impossible for him to score the highest number of votes. This is a simple arithmetic .

Which results exactly are you using to base your argument? The real one or the fake one announced by INEC?

You're not even making sense by saying you can lose all states in Nigeria and still win the election. If you lose all states, that means another candidate won those states, so how do you end up winning? Oh, I forgot, through INEC selection!

Tinubu was also announced as winner of Rivers State, but today, the actual result shows that Obi won Rivers overwhelmingly! Same story in Benue, Akwa Ibom etc. Even Lagos, Obi won with a higher margin than was credited to him. If INEC could do all these evil manipulations in states where Obi has overwhelming majority of supporters, why won't they do even worse in Kaduna where it is 50:50?!

You know the truth, just like every other objective Nigerian, but you will still come online to say anything just to support Tinubu.
Let me you give you a simple analogy in electoral numbers. 4 candidates 1,2,3,4 are contesting in States A, B, C, D, E, F

So in State A

1 had 100,000
2 had 85,000
3 had 60,000
4 had 35,000

In state B
4 Had 90,000
2 had 80,000
3 had 15,000
1 had 3,000

In state C
3 Had 120,000
4 had 110,000
2 had 95,000
1 had 23,000

In state D
1 had 250,000
2 had 210,000
3 had 45,000
4 had 15,000

In state E
3 had 37,000
2 had 32,000
1 had 12,000
4 had 10,000

In F
1 Had 75,000
2 Had 60,000
3 had 45,000
4 hand 7,000

Now 1 had 463,000 votes
2 had 562,000 votes
3 had 322,000 votes
4 had 277,000 votes

2 won no stars at all yet, got more votes than anyone else

Do you know out of the 23LGAs in Kaduna state.

Atiku won 14: 554,360 votes
Tinubu won 2: 399,293 votes
Obi won 7: 294,494 votes
NNPP won zero: 92,969 votes

How did Tinubu get 399, 293 votes after coming second and distant third in serveral LGAs? and Obi couldn't even get 25% after wining 7LGAs

Lol, any president can also be elected without winning SW, or NE, or NW etc. So, why mention SE like it's a situation unique to them?

Mind you, SE is more significant than SW in terms of votes during presidential election. So, stop trying to give a wrong impression!
SW is more important than SE in Nigerian presidential election.

Buhari did it in 2015 and 2019, SE was the game changer for Buhari.

It’s possible to win just one state and have the highest votes overall and perhaps subsequently win in a runoff.

Let’s say an election has 60 voters equally distributed amongst States X, Y & Z (20 each). States X, Y & Z are the only States in the country and the Candidates are A, B and C.

RESULTS

State X
A:10
B:9
C:1

State Y
A: 1
B: 9
C: 10

State Z
A: 8
B: 7
C: 5

Guess who has the most votes but won the zero states? B.
A won the most States though(2).

In a runoff between A (winner of most states) and B (highest total votes), previous C voters may now vote for B who will then be declared winner.

You need to understand how electoral numbers work.

One won 7 LGAs but those LGAS did not have enough population to keep him in the race long term.

In the places Atiku won, Tinubu came a close second he was close behind him in the places with high population and hence got his nunbers out

Do you know that you can lose every state in Nigeria during the presidential elections and still win the election? If you know how to study electoral result numbers, you will see how extremely possible it is.

I mean, I wonder why you are not bother that in the 6 geopolitical zones

Tinubu won 3
Obi won 2
Atiku won 1

Yet Atiku finished with more votes than Obi.
Tinubu didn't win even One state anywhere, INEC just allocated figures to APC then went ahead to declare Tinubu wimner

Obi did not fail to get 25% but rather INEC failed to upload the actual results from the state thereby denying Obi 25% votes in the state. Anyone that believe the results announced by INEC must be very stupid and daft to the core.

Do the maths Bro, it is basic..if the 3 order strong candidates win..lets say 11states each, but performs averagely or poorly in the 25 states and you have a candidate who comes a close 2nd in say 30 of the 36 states, espescialy those with high populations, and wins just one state,..he will win the election.

The highest score that you are talking about is cumulative over the 36 states.

BAT won in a scenario close to this.
With the exception of SE, he was always a close second or 3rd in every state he lost,so cumulatively he had the highest vote..

It is not about number of states, it is more about the margin with you lost or win, compared to your clossest rival

he is right, but it is flying over your head. In a two horse race, you can not afford to lose all state. In a 4 horse race, you can lose all states and still win the highest votes cast while still meeting the 25% in 24 states. Tinubu won 12 of 20 local governments in lagos and still loss to Obi with 8 local governments win.

Nigeria's presidential election does not run electoral college like in the US.

Critical and logical reasoning is weak in most youths, it somehow depicts poor educational foundation.

If your statistics here are true, how is that difficult to understand if obi wins in LG with low population with very low margin? Imagine in Lagos where obi said he won just with 10, 000 votes out of high population in Lagos? In real sense, is that win? Yes, win but with very insignificant low margin. So, if obi wins 7-Lgs with low margin like he did in Lagos, he will be having less than 70k because his winning margin are slim/low. At least obidients should always use their senses small before calling people to assist. This is easy to work out!

You think Lagos is Anambra where obi expected to to get 97% votes? He wouldn't have even with that 10,000 votes if not because some yorubas voted for him. Was he able to use LP influence to make GRV win. Some yorubas that voted for him in Lagos already regretted their actions which was reason why parts of them reversed form voting for GRV. Majority had given votes to Tinubu, stop wasting your time; obi tribunal case will end in tear and labouring in vain. Atiku did more than that in 2019 but ended in failure.
