It is disrespectful to rubbish the investment and efforts of others. A lot of those universities are living on their past glories. It'll shock you that products from the so called 'low-level' universities will be beat you 'black-n-blue' where academics and character is concerned.

I went to what you'll describe as a 'low-level' government university (4th generation), but I've performed better than many of your 'high-level' products. Examples abound.

don't you know even the establishment of the universities are sources of employment to a lot of people? 37 universities multiply by minimum of 200 staff in each of the university, you will understand the jobs the sector has created so far

It's not a bad move to have more private Universities as the public ones are already over stretched. One of the adverse effects of too many students seeking admission into public Universities with limited carrying capacities is painful change of students' aspirations.

Most students currently studying Microbiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Laboratory Science, etc wanted to study Medicine and Surgery.
Most current students of Physics wanted Electrical/Electronics Engineering;
Chemistry students wanted Chemical Engineering;
Mathematics students wanted Computer Engineering
Many Civil Engineering aspirants end up studying Building Tech. etc.

Some average parents who can afford these private Universities now have an option instead of watching the public Universities kill their wards ambitions.
You lied. I would rather chose physics as first choice for bachelor degree than any engineering course

When will their courses be accredited? I prefer federal and state universities not these mushroom schools. All na to reap off students with outrageous turion feea

Federal and State University where lecturers behave recklessly without being questioned, grades and admissions procured either by cash or "connection"?
Remember that all Universities in Nigeria are regulated by NUC and they have come to the rescue of the ordinary citizen that can afford their fees.

And you think lecturers in private universities don't misbehave and award scores and grades for monetary gain? Many various courses in some universities are not accredited by the NUC. I hope you are aware of this
