As expected she has disappeared. I wonder how many years it would take someone to post his/her school ID and past school fees receipt... this is one of the reasons why I don't take online beggars seriously cos 99.9% of them are into one addiction or the other.

They come online with various monikers composing all sorts of emotional stories. If you fall for their deceit and give them money, they'll either they'll use it to gamble or carry olosho. Once they've exhausted the money, they'll come back with another moniker to beg for another one....it's an endless cycle.

1) Previous posts and pictures are masculine, but she is now a female. She said she was catching cruise in the past.

2) She said she has the bulk of the money. So, I suggested we use a trusted NL escrow to pay the fees. She sends what she has to the escrow, I balance up and the escrow pays. She didn't agree to this, claiming she can't access the money yet. But you said you have a deadline of a few days. How come you can't access the money? I told her to let me know when she is ready to pay her school fees.

3) She finally said I should just give her some money to eat. I don't think I responded to this.

That's their goal. They write up an emotional story to make you feel sober, then put up an account number for people to pay into.

Once you drill them in order to authenticate the originality of their story, you'll start seeing glaring inconsistencies like you pointed out.

During the covid lockdown, it was celebrities they were stalking. It got so bad that even don jazzy had to cry out that he receives over a thousand dms daily mostly from people begging him. This same people dragged him for crying out, some even called him stingy. Some celebrities like Davido and others succumbed to pressure by going give away.

My annoyance that period and even now is that none of these people are stalking their elected politicians. These leaders horded palliatives meant for the masses, yet no single social media chronic beggar called them out the way they were calling celebrities.

None went to their various social media pages to post account number or shade them for not giving them money.

Those are the people they're supposed to be begging, not someone hussling to keep his head afloat in this horrible economy.

Covid finished, and it became worse. Some would just go through your Facebook pics, and the next thing is to send you an emotional message begging for money....like who does that?

…so, I couldn’t really authenticate if you were real or not, reason I stopped reaching out. Not my fault, from the very little that I have, I have had the privilege of reaching out to, and assisting a few nairalanders, both guys and ladies….and I often maintain communication with them. But the few that happen to enter their city, and I reach out to them and say, “guy, or babe, I Dey your town. Let’s see and know physically….” Dem go disappear. Either stop responding or block you….

Yes, AAU is very tough, and very expensive and life is hard out there….most of the students there are into one fraudulent activity of the other to meet up….

I wish that was the case sef, because I like to think I have more disposable income now. Way back they said I was using my sugar daddy's money to do giveaway. Oh well! She is not indigene. She is from Benin and if I remember correctly, she doesn’t really have sponsors. She hustle part time and during holiday to raise funds annd whatever is left, she solicit for assistance to make it up.

Ekpoma is expensive and not really convenient for those without sponsors. When I left in 2006, school fees was 15k and a single room apartment was 12k - 18k per annum. I recently learnt from my cousin schooling there that apartment goes from like 100k or so upward, and school fees is almost 200k plus blocking costing as much as 15k per course. Blocking in 2006 was 1k

Skul fees , only nursing , law , medicine and engineering pay more than 120k and they're cheap houses bro , you can get a single room for 50k .
