As with all things Trump this indictment is worse than could have imagined. The indictment is damning. If the DOJ has proof for half the allegations (and being this is the DOJ run by a seemingly competent Special Counsel, not Durham, they most likely do) Trump is in trouble. Just the audio tape of him showing highly classified information to someone without clearance is enough to get him convicted. This was a President of the US seemingly to be cavalier with who he showed this Top Secret stuff to. Crazy. But if he is convicted, it'll lead to some interesting questions. How long will they give him? These charges could mean decades in jail or him dying in jail. Will they suspend the sentence? Will he serve in jail? How will that work with his Secret Service Protection. Will Biden commute his sentence now that he has been convicted to mitigate all this drama.

But Trump being the legal escape artist he is made a great decision by moving to Florida. Because he committed these crimes in Florida, Jack smith had to file the case in Florida. This is going to cause them some headaches.
1.) They had a 25% chance of drawing Judge Cannon, the biased Judge who was quickly overturned and rebuked by a conservative appeals court for her Pro Trump Rulings. Unfortunately for Jack Smith, she was the Judge "randomly" drawn. This is a big deal. As the Judge gets to decide all the contours of the case. When it starts (before/after the election). What evidence goes in (will she allow the Attorney Client protected evidence Jack Smith previously got in). What defenses Trump gets to present (i.e ex-Presidents have mind powers to declassify documents in the past). And she has a big hand in selecting the Jury. She can limit the voire-dire process and let in a more pro-Trump juror. Jack Smith should petition to have her removed.
2.) The 11 District Court of Appeals where Florida is in is more conservative. So, any 50-50 appeals or even 40-60 appeals Trump will most likely win. The only upside is that this is going to be a historic case. So everyone should be on their P's and Q's. But again this is the new age Republican party so who knows.
3.) The Jury. Obviously, Trump won Florida. So the jurors will be more conservative. Given the evidence in the indictment, it shouldn't matter who the juror is. But given Judge Cannon may preside, she can limit questioning that may let a Pro Trump shill in who is bent on jury nullification. And it only takes one since the jury has to be unanimous.

Lastly, for those arguing this was Biden trying to get Trump. Biden [b]wants [/b]to run against Trump. He is the most beatable candidate in the Republican field. And in a normal world, this would hurt Trump's chances. Republicans these days aren't so normal. So who knows what will happen. If the DOJ wanted to help Biden, they would have brought charges closer to the Republican primary after Trump consolidated Republicans or let it linger till after the election. So, square that circle.

The judge refused ,saying Bill should keep the tapes.

Hillary used a private email server in her bathroom. She was using it for official purposes, forwarding classified emails from the gov secure email servers, stripping of the classification and forwarding it to her private account.
When it was discovered that as SoS she had a private server, She got a subpoena to hand all emails to gov. She forwarded 30k and deleted other 33k . Claiming they were yoga and her daughter's wedding As SoS everyone who came to her was also a donor to the Clinton Foundation.
Out of those emails some were classified. She crashed the server, did a hard drive wipeout with bleachbit. She also destroyed 5 govt issued , phones crushing them with hammers.
FBI did not press charges, No reasonable prosecutor could charge her according to James Comey.

Agreed for the most part. But, the US justice system is favored/biased for the Rich and connected. Trump is both. So what happens with his Judge's rulings will determine the case. If the Judge doesn't let certain evidence in.. well that changes the case.

Also, unfortunately, I'm not sure Trump is going to jail even if he is convicted. I hope I'm wrong though.

The indictment has only 31 and please note. Those are not classified as the counts only state they were vital to national security. What happens to the other 71 docs?Were they the Crossfire hurricane docs that conclusively show the FBI, CIA,DOJ and Hillary Clinton manufactured the Russian hoax?
First motion to dismiss will be about those 71 pages that are not included in the charges.
Next point would be what happens if you don't hand over docs to NARA.. They knew what Trump carted off.
