My point is simple. Outgoing Presidents make deals with incoming. It is the reality and what kept GEJ, his wife and many complicit minions out of jail even as Buhari was adamant in wanting to jail them back then.

Even the likes of David Cameron and Obama joined in back then to impress on Buhari, a very stubborn and militarily vengeful character, the need to graciously accept the Presidency and let GEJ 'bow and go'.

Not only did Buhari refrain from jailing GEJ, but he completely dropped all agression against those close to GEJ that may be seen as persecution violating deals brokered.

Tinubu will have similar 'restrictions' also, santioned by any deals reached, that will make Buhari and some off limit.

Buhari will naturally insist any deal covers him and his fellow Northerners thus throwing the ignorant Southerners like Emefiele under the bus.

Check my exchanges, last year, with Asgard 62 to 73, Aka Odin13 and Frigga, where I told him that the likes of Emefiele, dispensible 'use and dump' tools in the eyes of Northerners, will pay dearly under a new regime unless Buhari's anointed gained power rather than Tinubu who is a bona-fide and fully paid-up member of the owners-of-Nigeria gang no one can intimidate.

Tinubu will respect deals made and spare dishing dirt on Buhari or his Northern or southern compatriots covered by agreements made, because he wants a progressive Presidency, but no other Northerner or dispensible Southerner will be spared under Jagaban.

As Buhari was restricted from hounding GEJ and his southern crew in charge then, so too Tinubu has his own 'off limits' boundaries.

Yet same as Buhari ruthlessly took down Dasuki, his fellow Northerner, so too Tinubu will deal with fellow Southerners like Emefiele and any Notherner not 'covered'. Take it or leave it.

Bros shut up. I said dictates. Who provides direction for monetary policy? If the president says he wants to unify the exchange rate is that not providing direction for monetary policy? When the naira was going down and there was pressure on CBN to devalue, what was Buhari's response then? I remember clearly he said he would not devalue the naira.

I'm simply drawing inferences from his actions because I can't understand how a competent man like him refused to show his competence when he got to handle national economic affairs. His policies were so daft that even a primary school dropout could easily predict the impending disaster. Then, he was said to be funding IPOB, ESN, Unknown Gunmen and Bandits. Why would he do that? Just connecting the dots.

There is nothing like Tinubu outsmarted Northerners,they just supported him. Simple!
That Tinubu won only 2 core Northern state is irrelevant,he had strong second position in almost all the Northern states he didn't win.
