Have I been there before? Yes. I lived in the Republic of Cyprus for 4 years. Note that Cyprus is a divided island. There is the illegally occupied, so-called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)”(in yellow below), a banana state and recognized only by Turkey, and the Republic of Cyprus, the more prosperous part of the island which is also an EU member and a rich oil and gas producing country. Many Nigerians go to the TRNC because it is cheap and affordable. However they haven't done their proper research to know that it is an enclave country with absolutely no opportunities.

And does what you wrote above countered my points that it's expensive to live in with little or no opportunities for African migrants?

Is UK not expensive to live in? Has that stopped japa from still happening? Cyprus is a small homogeneous country unlike many other European countries. But that doesn't make it in hospitable to African immigrants. When I lived there as a student, I had instructors from Uganda teaching myself and Cypriots. We had Sudanese in the health care system. Loads of South Africans as well. Nigerians were in their hand all and football teams. Us students found ways to get jobs despite their being an embargo on foreign students working.

This not laziness. There really is no work there if you are trying to better yourself. The country is for its citizens and they don't have much work either. You need a high level of education to secure a meaningful job.

Anyway maybe this particular people have one problem or another.

The beneficiaries are not complaining of lack of fund for documents and transcripts transfer, but lack of finances for accommodation.

There was never any greener grass in North Cyprus. The only country that recognized that place is probably Turkey. They were scammed.
