These are the right questions every African should be asking. The white man has undermined our growth and progress for too long. They do this by capitalizing on the greed of our leaders and fostering propaganda to ensure will continue in this nightmare!
Stop blaming the whites for our short comings! Is it their fault our leaders are greedy & corrupt? We lack intelligence to do certain things & we should stop blaming the whites for it.

Gadaffi talks too much. Things like dumping the USD are mostly done in extreme secrecy, and also, your military should be topnotch. Take China for example, it was only when they established peace between Iran and Saudi the world heard about it.

Only China and Russia can take actions that go against the interest of the west because their military is capable of facing the US one on one. Politics is nothing but strength vs strength. If you are weak, you will be the sacrificial lamb.

You don't go about announcing your intention and not expect the target enemy not to strike, especially when you exist in their world order. Gadaffi was the scapegoat that made other leaders kept shut.

But now is different. Ruto is just one of many leaders saying it. The time has come for the globe to move off, and the Americans can't do anything about it. Also, the global powers and economics have shifted, and are moving east.

In other words, the world now has an alternative, so US sanctions cant bite as it does before. It's like when a hyena bites an injured, malnourished tiger because they can see that it is not as powerful as before, and don't fear it.
Your analogies are quite amusing but on point.
I hope this time around they'll get the massive support needed for the plan to scale through.
Because Africa is long overdue to take charge of her own affairs

Long overdue age wise, but intelligence wise, zero! We lack the intelligence as a continent. Even Almighty China & Russia are still struggling fighting USD as official world trade currency, let alone Africa.

You think our problem is intelligence? I'm more inclined to believe it's more of fear of repercussions from the West, and lack of willpower

Then to use Obafemi Awolowo's words in respect to Nigeria, Africa too is a geographical description. North Africa is as European as it is African. They even share more recent history with Europe, Iran and Turkey. Most African countries are doing well with low cost of living and all they need is mainly to capture all income into the tax net and use the revenue to solve social problems and invest in production. Currency especially forex is never an issue. Spend money on research and empower local enterprise to be competitive, partner with successful international companies and leverage on their know how to develop while improving on the knowhow. That was exactly what Japan did in the nineteenth century with the initial help of I think Holland. Nation building is not rocket science. Everybody is doing it and some African countries like Kenya and etc are not doing badly.

It is obvious how black people no really get sense, see all the yeye comments on this post, quoting gaddafi, so nato killed gaddafi because he wanted to challenge dollar supremacy? And u want to blindly ignore the fact that Libyans and were tired of dictatorship...was it the west that spooked the Libyans to pick up arms? If Libya was heaven on earth, why did the people revolt, people with sense will be saying that everything was free in Libya and think that is a workable economic model...
China , Russia and co has been trying for years to challenge dollar hegemony and they have been unsuccessful, and it's gaddafi that would have done it, replacing the dollar is no easy , especially if u will not have a single currency to replace it with, except the african union decide to float a new currency, this whole talk is garbage...even brics and for all their barking, if they dont float a new currency, its gna be all bullshit... blame the west for everything, yet fail to look inward...all of a sudden, gaddafi is now a saint...rubbish

Gadaffi fought against it and proposed an African currency. Those are one of the reasons the west dislodged him

Gaddaffi should have waited till the others were ready....

he wanted to challendge them alone and got mugged....

Surely.. Some people here think Russia is doing well, while Ukraine is struggling with Western support.. Both sides would encounter consequences as it relates the war.

One thing is certain, Russia is the aggressor, and Ukraine is the victim. I'm in support of Ukraine and believe they should have control of their destiny.

There's no peace without justice. if Russia or the US have problems with each other let them leave Ukraine out of it. Russia can't lay claim to an independent state. if Russia had chosen Diplomacy over war there would be no war.

Exactly or better still , avoid the lethal use of force in suppressing the protest, for people to pick up arms in a civilian revolt, it means the people have been pushed to the wall...

You want to pay for your family UK visa using a UK bank card to the UK Immigration service; but they will not let you pay in Pound £ Sterling which is the currency of the UK.

Instead they make you pay in Dollars $ thereby doing currency exchange at their own rate including charges. That is just a small example!

All sorts of trade involve unnecessary charges because we are using Dollars or Sterling or Euros and others...

* Thanks to Russia indeed! They want to divide Russia, install a puppet government, create discord and steal their natural resources. But they are now having to deal with de-dollarisation and a possible multi-polar world ... Amen to that!

Ukraine is just their useful idiot - the country will be drained of its resources and people especially men and the profits will be carted away by the real Imperialist; not those accusing Russia of what they were doing and continue to do all over the world.

THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN TELLING NIGERIANS. THE REST OF AFRICA IS MOVING AWAY FROM THIS OYINBO WORSHIP THAT THEY DO IN NIGERIA.

THIS IS NOW A MULTI POLAR WORLD WITH THE RISE THE RISE OF CHINA AND THE BRIC NATIONS.

SOME OF THESE AFRICAN NATIONS NOW HAVE MILITARY AGREEMENTS WITH CHINA, AS IN CHINA GUARANTEEING MILITARY ALLIANCE IN THE EVENT OF WESTERN THREATS.

AND WHERE CHINA GOES, THE BRICS NATIONS GO TOO.

SO AFRICAN GOVERNMENTS ARE OPENLY CONDEMNING WESTERN GOVERNMENTS AND THEIR POLICIES IN AFRICA. IT’S ALL OVER YOUTUBE. KAGAME, MUSEVENI, AKUFFO ADO, AND OTHERS.

IN NIGERIA THEY ARE STILL WORSHIPING USA, UK, and all these imperialist exploiters if Africa.

When they see Nigerian leaders meeting with western leaders, they see it as great and positive.

HOPE THEY WAKE UP.

The only good Arab is a dead Arab. Imagine being a Black African man and viewing an Arab muslim as a saviour/leader of Africa. Lol. North Africans and Middle-easterners literally enslave and oppress Black people in their regions till this day.

Nobody is saying don't trade in whatever, but it is about credibility. Yes USA has flaws, and if they don't straighten up politically and educationally, things might get very costly for them. But, USA is still more credible than china or Russia or even an economically divided Europe. USA is more fair. Anyone with evidence can sue and get back their cash, something that china or Russia or terrorist trainers Saudi Arabia, cannot do.

Kenya money is insecure and not credible with experience. You base your money off the stable commodity, which is currently the dollar. It is not a mouth thing, America is not forcing it on others, is just that others can see that, it is the most stable amongst the rest, there are multiple years of experience and sample size to judge from. The yuan has been unstable and purposely controlled. No insight to a tee. Most things American financial systems do, good or bad, is in the open for the most part. Yuan tells you some good, and hide the rest.

Dollar worldwide usage are sometimes hurtful to America. it floats their money to uncomfortable heights. So, they are doing the world a favor. They want to be a world seller too, they want to sell somethings cheaper like everyone else, which is difficult when your currency is high. But they took up that challenge.

Better late than never my brother, but don’t forget that before Ghadaffi, they had killed or toppled the likes of Lumumba, Sankara, Nkrumah, and our own Gen. Murtala Ramat Muhammed of blessed memory.

All this intimidated the next generation of African leaders into compliance, but a new generation is here and saying to the west - FUC.K OFF.

What actually happened was that Ghadafi's son announced on tv that the civil war will soon be over in a few hours and he wanted to achieve this by bombing out Libyan cities from the air. Ghadafi got the monies to buy the ammunitions by selling oil to the West and even if not so, it would be irresponsible for anyone with power and influence to look on. There was then a no fly zone imposed on Libya by NATO so that Ghadafi will not commit a monumental massacre of his own people. Overtime the tables turned and Ghadafi forces were overwhelmed by the rebels. He was advised to flee or negotiate with them but he said they have to come to him and not him to them. The rebels bursted his fortifications and killed him execution style. I for one was among the people raising the alarm online that it would be wrong to allow Ghadafi use Libyan money to bomb out Libyan cities. How many Libyans have you seen blaming NATO?. Most people who complain are not Libyans because the average Libyan knows that the revolution that outed Ghadafi was a very popular one. People want freedom too and not to be treated like cattle.
