Not gonna happen.. he would only fine-tune the policy document with Ethiopians

Nigeria need a national career for the African free trade area agreement

It's like opening your borders for free trade with all your neighbors with airlines and you don't have any airline of your own

KenyaAir and SouthAfrican air would soon have access to pick passenger enroute Lagos to Abuja, Akwa ibom to Maiduguri, they would dominate local flight and Airpeace can't compete

.
So you want to borrow airlines in Ethiopia while you have airlines already capable carrying those task. This is a typical case of penny wise palm foolish. Why not partner with airpeace and buy more airline

Airpeace doesn't have enough fleet for local capacity not to talk of foreign route

You are right

However we urgently need a national career

If we sign continental freetrade zone agreement, SouthAfrican Airways and Kenya Airways would be free to fly into Nigerian airspace and dominate local market

Even Airpeace might get relegated by the African airline giants
If.you listened carefully to what he is saying .... countries are no longer into National Airlines ... most have shed their national carriers and South African Air is one of the few remaining. Does the US have a national airline? ... how about Canada? ... the UK? ... they have left that space and made it possible for private entities to enter and compete. So why should we get into the business when others have left and the few remaining are drowning ?

It was USA DOJ that indicted Allen for bank fraud and money laundering! If he dares enter USA Today, Interpol will arrest him today!

Oh Nigeria, a ship in stormy sea,
Struggling to sail with weight of tribalism,
Hindered by winds that blow so fiercely,
Thy journey fraught with peril and schism.
Thy people, divided by ancient lines,
Their loyalties to tribe above all,
A curse that weighs thee down and confines,
And threatens to make thy ship to fall.
But hope still shines, a light in the dark,
A chance to rise above the fray,
To steer thy ship with a steady mark,
And chart a course to a brighter day.
Oh Nigeria, may thy ship find peace
In Nigeria, a melting pot of sorts,
500+ ethnic groups do reside,
Yet three stand out like zebras in reports,
Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba with pride.
Each group unique, with customs and beliefs,
Their cultures rich, diverse, and intertwined,
A tapestry of history and griefs,
Their stories told, their struggles oft combined.
Oh Nigeria, your people are so vast,
A land of beauty, strength, and unity,
May peace and love forever, ever last,
And all your tribes live in sweet harmony.
Let us celebrate the diversity,
And cherish each group's identity.

Like vultures circling their prey, corrupt officials swoop in to engage in bribery and embezzlement of public funds. Mention names and die; a common sing song. Just like weeds sprout in a neglected garden, corrupt officials emerge when people elect unqualified and unpatriotic people to office. They eat the fruit of the people's labor. But in all, the vultures do not suffer. They sell the scavenger life to the preys.

Like three separate boats sailing in different directions, the major ethnic groups in Nigeria do not collaborate for the betterment of the nation. Instead, each group focuses solely on advancing the interests of its own people and territory. When it comes to elections, people tend to vote like bees swarming around their hive, not based on competence but on tribe. Then why do you blame racists?

Nigeria is like a ship without a rudder, aimlessly drifting in the sea of underdevelopment due to its lack of business discipline. It's as if the country is like a bird that refuses to leave its nest and spread its wings.

Nigeria is an international village where truth is harder to find than gold.
Nice one! Are you a poet?

Why are you so hateful. Have you forgotten in a jiffy Air Peace contributions to emergency situations where citizens are lifted free of charge?

From South Africa to Ukraine, India, China, Sudan etc. The airline rendered these services free of charge. And here you are trying to denigrate or talk down the airline.

Nigeria cannot develop or move forward with hateful attitude and lack of appreciation for good things done by individuals.

Politics aside,we should recognise individuals contributions to nation building.

Why are you so negative and hateful. Trying to denigrate or portray Air Peace in bad light will increase food on your table, abi?

Don't forget in a jiffy the airline contributions to emergency situations involving Nigerians in dire need and needing evacuation in foreign Lands. This was done free of charge. I am sure your brothers and cronies benefited from his benevolence.

. National carrier means government owned . Flag carrier means it is owned by a Nigerian entity not necessarily the government.
We have shown we cannot manage a National carrier and we don't need one . We should focus on a Flag carrier.
Which is what both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are.
There is no limit to the number of Flag carriers even IbomAir can be a Fla carrier . The USA does not have a national carrier either

The problem in the case of Nigeria is not capital but management.
Nigeria is a very lucrative route because we have numbers.
The issue is management. You cannot run a serious business when appointments to the board are based on federal character with a lot of nepotism. People just bring a note from one godfather and they are employed. Private sector won't allow that

So why are you hailing Dangote and telling Nigeria to rely on him to solve our petrol issues? Tinubu should build national refinery as well nah. As if it's easy. No be yorubas ruin Nigeria air in the first place? Where is Tinubu's first Nation? Go and waste more money on national carrier
don't waste ur time replying fools

This is why Ministry of Aviation leveraging on Ethiopian air and getting 49% stakes isn't entirely bad

continental fee trade arrangements change nothing that is alarmist hooha

South African Airways cannot fly from Nigeria to any other country but South Africa .That is an international standard.

That is why a Nigerian Flag carrier will be in pole position.
E.g travelling to the USA only a Nigerian flagged or USA flagged carrier can fly Lagos to New York
South African Airways MUST stop in South Africa

That should give you an idea of the business the country is losing by not having a Flag carrier
Flying to India e.g only Air India can go direct
Ethiopian Airlines must stop in Addis but a Nigerian flagged carrier could go direct same for China,Brazil,Thailand etc
