this here. Jamb is now self sustaining because oloyede plugged all loopholes where jamb officials were diverting fees and levies to their personal accounts.

as an example, customs officers have always been rich because they too are diverting fees to their personal pockets.

Custom have no business being in the revenue space, their job is how to facilitate trade not chase revenue.

It’s only in Nigeria that the NCS is a revenue generating agency, it’s an abnormally.

Even a corrupt Kenya merge it Custom with revenue since 1995.

N5000 for a cylinder?

with those figures i may reinstall my dual carburator and start using gas.

the problem with gas for me is that you cannot properly ration it. i pour 5 - 8 litres at a time into my gen. i avoid filling the tank. sometimes when it goes off you find there has been power but you did not hear the siren. with lpg cylinder, if you are not careful, you will just dey run dey go.

Spend a little more to bring the siren indoors. Mine is in the passage. The more you ignore it, the louder it becomes. It also has a switch, so I can turn it off when I do not want to be bothered by it.

What was YoY as at last month?

YoY captures 12 months, of which the data you presented can only be for May 2023 vs May 2022 which is all Buhari tenure. Let us use stats appropriately

That said, Tinubu tenure will still go up in the first few months due to end of subsidy and free floating the Naira

Amen o.

I hope you heard when one of his sons, reported his mother to Efcc for bribery and fraud?

The only help Tinubu can do for Ganduje, is not to get him jailed.

grin grin grin. If na corruption, Ganduje is corrupt na.

The new guy/Kwankwaso should just try and recover all those government properties/land he fraudulently sold to his associates and not destroy everything. He should only destroy where applicable.

You are just knowing?

Efcc started on a downward spiral the moment they chased out ribadu. From that point on the essential mission profile became self enrichment.

Ribadu was offered 15m.usd in hard cash and he rejected it.

The people after him would have DEMANDED it outright. As it is today efcc is just a bunch of arrogant thugs ripping off yahoo boys, breaking in without warrants and bungling serious cases.

You really like this Ribadu oh. Is like you like this Gestapo Style. You like seeing drama, handcuffs and all. Arrest and later go and look for evidences.

Of all the charges, Ribadu only had two successful convictions and na through plea bargain. I understand that part because our judicial system is too slow.

None of them is kinda pure. Ribadu was somehow selective and sometimes do go against the rule of law to the extent that someone died in his custody even when the court told him to allow the person to attend to his health.

BlueRayDick have you seen succession?

I have watched 2 episodes and it's not catching fire already

I don't want to invest time on some struggle series.

No I've not. I wanted to try it recently but the story wasn't catchy when I tried reading little of the storyline, I just decided against it.

What is true is that when people were collecting June 12 woto woto, we no see obi. When people were marching to move gej from turai kitchen we no see obi. When people were protesting fuel subsidy removal, we no see obi.

That is why it is only political neophytes that will turn the man into their messiah.

Any politician that preach a “messiah” message shouldn’t be voted for.

If you want a new school politician separate from the old order only sowore fit that bill.

Peter obi went with Labour Party because of necessity not by choice.

In addition to this total, 11, ardova, mrs etal all had licenses in the past to import oil. Unless those licenses have expired they are good to go. They have all the necessary infrastructure in place already.
