Absolutely.
Case in point was this NL thread where 3guys used a girl for ritual in broad day light, bystanders thinking it was a skit, until the guys zoomed off.

That was a skit, They got the reaction they wanted. Most of Nigerian pranks are staged the planked and the planked are all together just like the funny interview videos. The pranks that are not staged are usually stupid and the prankster ends up getting slapped in real time. Nigerians don't have time for nonsense.

This is not job of police but media enlightenment about dangerous pranks

Soon police will start taking advantage of it to extort the citizens.

Prank is not crime if there is no crime committed.

You will shot someone with a gun, whether real or dummy?

How many times have you shot Asari Dokubo brandishing more than just a gun? Or are the laws selective or made for pranksters only?

Fulani Herdsmen move about with guns in broad daylight, how many have you shot at gunpoint?

all these skit pranks are a problem - but THE POLICE ARE NOT EMPOWERED TO MAKE LAWS

the fact that a police boss can come out and say this shows just how out of touch with reality they are

I'm with Nigerian Police on this. Saw a video recently where some guys were performing some kind of ritual and people who gathered to watch them thought it was a prank. The moment the guys zoomed off with their car, they started shouting ritual but fortunately the guys came back and said it was a prank.
