It should be. They usually do solid and standard work/project in that Akwa Ibom, unlike many other states.

The place looks beautiful of which I believe is of economic or political importance to the government, the reason it was transformed. If that place was in the village or in a place not of any importance to the politician, nothing would have happened.
A massive catholic church/ seminary sits to the right, the government house sits far behind and the road you see there is a major link road to the said government house so la ignore la perish

Today I took a stroll to the green field located at Brooks street, Uyo. The area was before now ravaged by gulley erosion. Checkout the beautiful transformation.

Some parts of lagos are very dirty not the majority
And that's as a result of the high population density.
But still the state government and private individuals are trying.

That's transformation for you.

Doesn'took like the same area ... the main road has a service road in the first photo.... but not in the rest. Even if the gully was filled and made into a park... what was done to prevent the erosion from happening again? ... just making a park wouldn't do... pretty much h putting a plaster on a sore.

Sorry to disappoint you but it is......!
That's where you have a plethora of hang_outs collectively called "The Playground", along Brooks street, terminating either in Barracks road or Nwaniba road depending on where you're facing 😛
