I'm finding it hard to choose the better option between these two amazing programs - ALX Software Engineering and Decagon Software Engineering program.

I understood that ALX is Free and while Decagon is around 2M+. Going through the Decagon website, I also learnt that there's a loan option for graduates to pay 3M+ three months after graduation.

What I'm specifically looking for is the quality of the two programs. Which of them is better?

Decaogon is physical and hands-on

For complete beginners, ALX may be very overwhelming. As such the chances of giving up or quitting, and even cheating, are very high. There are so many things to learn at a mind-boggling speed. ALX SE program is broader and opens doors to lots of opportunities for would-be graduates. Alx introduces you to fields like DevOps, cybersecurity, and Web development. You get to learn and build real-world programs with languages like C, python, and Javascript, and even write scripts with bash. Your GitHub profile can even look very intimidating to others and would-be employees. Because you get to build lots of programs in different niches

Decagon on the other hand is more nich-focused. There are fewer things to learn. And just as you know classroom learning kind of builds confidence in students. And the chances of giving up or quitting, are at a very minimal level. Students tend to be more focused and less distracted in a classroom setting.

In my opinion, if a student has the time (at least 6 - 7 hours daily), and resources to take care of his/herself for at least a year. He should go with ALX.

ALX is free for now, just give it a try for at least a month or 2. And see if the programs suit your learning style. You have almost nothing to lose.

Decagon institute training has an immersive and detailed curriculum and they are Microsoft partner if you got the money and you are a fast learner it is a better opportunity.
It will give you solid foundation in the tech path to improve on yourself.

I have to decline their offer because of guarantor. No one wants to be my guarantor of 4 million Naira. They called me to either accept or decline their offer, Omo I jejely decline.

Not even years but months (in Naira). But Decagon own too much. Have you seen the requirements for this student loan? Ridiculous.

If not that I will be breaching the law I would have posted the requirements here for you to see. The guarantor is the main issue here.
