So after all the noise of The Flash bombing, it still ended with a $139M opening weekend.

For the "that's too poor" crew, understand that big openings does not equate to commercial success of a film but its ability to perform well over the coming weeks. Never forget BvS, Shazam, JL, MoS etc

BvS had opening weekend of over $400M; Shazam, $150M; JL, over $200M; MoS, over $150M. How did they perform eventually?

To me,The Flash opening is okay, but let's see how well it can go in the coming weeks.

And so you know, The Flash supposed competitor, Elemental, had an opening weekend of $48M. It seems it's an Industry thing now, not just Comic book films or "The Flash."

Bro, we should face the reality the competition is very tough and blockbuster movies are still lining up to be released, no room for The Flash to have a long leg when the words of mouth are not great. Not just even The Flash alone, check out most of the movies released (for the past a month and half) they are finding it extremely difficult to perform well, e.g The Little Mermaid (of all movie) is heavily struggling to do well.
My concern is with the execs and not even with the director. They must have seen the movie before anyone and knows a cgi of that standard For me is not acceptable in this modern days to give us such poor cgi, yet they gave the go ahead to release it, even with the heavy competition this period.
We can try to play the "my own na my own" game, but the cgi I saw is beyond defendable... Even one of the Superman cameo that they could've used the original actor in the scene and probably used a de-age technology to work the remaining out, but no they rather went all out to give use a ps4 (not even ps5) graphics.

Even if I'm never a fan of James Gunn, I think his reboot (for now) serves as the best option since the DCEU I came to know and loved have been bastardised by mostly the fanbase that feels all cbm need to be lighthearted and fun..

Only thing the movie needs is good word of mouth. Many people that rushed to see the movie first were just haters and with the trend DC has been on many Loyal fans were just being cautious.
I think if more people come out and squash this nonsense talk of bad CGI and incoherent story the movie will gain some legs.

There's many things going against the movie but I'm still in doubt the significance of Ezra Miller on the film underperforming.

Anyways, I believe the best way is to rapidly continue development on DC TV shows on Max with great production value as well as quality.
Something that put some admiration for DC like Peacemaker and Watchmen.

If we have 3-5 back to back shows like that on Max before all the first 3 DCU movies releases, we might actually build hype and goodwill in record time.
And this is where I'm slightly angry with HBO's pace in adapting DC stories. That JJ Abrams no go die well sha.

Why are we still making this thing look like "us vs them" thing.
Is it possible for the lovers to allow the haters to be the first to see a movie they claimed they truly loved (not possible na).
The movie wasn't good for me even outside the poor cgi. The villain was even the worst...

The coming weeks will tell if the movie will perform. There's competition no doubt, but the industry is filled with unpredictability, we also have the element of surprise.

Going with the performance of the movie now, anything can happen. The next three to five weeks will determine its overall performance.

If you have not seen it then there's no need spoiling it since they didn't put him in the trailers and tv spots released. His costume is the worst for me...

It will be extremely difficult for The Flash to pick up now. The competition is real..

Bro, the CGI was bad. It's not nitpicking. It was really bad. Could take you out of the film unless you are used to the CW series.

The villain was terrible that if we cut him from the movie, it still won't affect it. In fact there was no villain. However if you watched The Flash season 3, you will understand what they wanted to do.
