Whenever I hear someone talking about how Igbos are selling substandard products, I just laugh very hard cos Igbos have been applying the concept of market segmentation and differentiation to make money since the beginning of time

This is a concept we went to study in big schools but our brothers learnt them in a 2x3m shop during apprenticeship.

Carry your concept back to Aba and Onitsha.

It results in large, dirty, rowdy, overpopulated crime infested markets when it's handled by crass, uncoth, dispectful illiterates that lack decorum.

There were pictures of some of those demolished in Alaba. They were in a bad shape. (See picture below).

The ones demolished around the airports sometime in April did not have building permits but the owners built the structures anyway after buying land from Omo onile.

Now this is a good reason.

Also, it still doesn't invalidate the fact that most town planners approve whatever whatever when money is involved. This isn't only a case of Lagos State. I was an intern in a town planning office so I know what I talk about.

There's a very big market in Aba called Ariaria international market, nobody is stopping you from getting a shop there.
There's also a big market in Onitsha, it's available for anyone who is interested.


As long as Nigeria remains a federation, Igbos and any other ethnic group in Nigeria have the constitutional right to live and thrive in any part of Nigeria.
All the lands and minerals in Nigeria belongs to the federal republic of Nigeria.
You lack the power to tell any Nigerian to leave any part of Nigeria.

Was the money collected had any connection with the destruction? Notice was given since 2016 what were they doing till destruction took place. The money paid was the normal rate. I lived in a house about ten years ago, the council came and sealed the house because the stairs case was defective. We were given wuit notice. We had to leave immediately. Stop playing victim mentality.
