Everything I've read about this story just amazes me. How can someone be so rich and yet so stupid at the same time?

A very avoidable and pointless death. Reminds me of Kobe Bryant choosing to take the helicopter that fateful day when weather conditions were so bad despite pre flight warnings.

12000ft down the ocean is no joke, the pressure is cr@zy, most submarines can't reach that

true...but this is not the 1st time that sub went down there, they have been having such trips since 2021. so emergency steps must have been in place. what about radio contact with the vessel that was at the top waiting for them? if they make a sub that can go to such extreme depth, then they should have also figured out emergency steps to either A) recover the vessel and/or B) to locate it in time. Oceangate is a joke, these people inside that sub had to sign 3 different contracts in order that this company (that was charging each of them $250K) couldnt be sued in case of such accident.

this story makes no damn sense. the saddest part of this tragedy is that, to go search for them, they are now sending robot subs and not the exact same titan sub with people. what are they scared of?!

They found wrekage and debris of the doomed sub.

Unfortunately it was an instantaneous death from an implosion caused by a leak.

They died instantly without feeling a thing.

Honestly, I don't blame them, If I have their kind of money, I would go to the ends of the earth simply for exploration and fun, I'm a curious person and would love to experience rare feats one day.

I hope and pray they are alive when found.
