Zionmdde:You are not even reading with understanding. Where did I said natural gas is ethane or butane? I even put methane in bracket to signify that I was calling it natural gas and not the rest as u have said. LPG with is mainly propane and butane is referred to as liquified petroleum gas. Tell me, how do u liquefy a gas without compression? All gas processing plant makes use of a compressor. Ps. Don't rush to argue. Read my point again. |

SSFeedsNigeria: I said it somewhere that the.end of oil has started and some who lack understanding came for me, I still stand on that. In Kano, as we speak, a young man has fitted Keke and some commercial mini buses with 100% electric power, he is still improving. The only option Dangote has now is to do what he is known for, use govt to frustrate all other petroleum importers. Can you imagine what the idiot sought and got? Make him the sole supplier of refined product, even if he is out of product, only him can import. If he had gotten away with that (which he would have if the dullard was still the president), he would have claimed his refinery is now running, and then he will import fuel to his yard and sell from a yet-to-function refinery. The kind of economic revolution that will happen in Nigeria in the next 5 years will shock the demons called politicians. As we speak, some people has already jettisoned petrol, and the number can only increase. Yes, I agree with you, dangote may perish with his monopoly if he doesn't bribe or blackmail tinubu. 6 Likes |

otemeh01:All gas processing plants make use of compressor, u are very correct. But a compressor used for gas processing cannot even raise gas pressure enough to push gas kilometers talk less of compressing it. Bro sorry to say this u are a bit naive, but you are still trying LPG is not obtained as a result of compression, it is not LNG. LPG is obtained from wet natural gas or refining petroleum, compression is not one of the main processes. Infact the compressor there is to push gas just like pushing water. That being said, ANOH won't produce any CNG |

Zionmdde:Well, LPG is obtained as a result of compression and refrigeration. They are all gas and not liquid in its natural state. To liquefy LPG, u just have to compress it and u will need a reciprocating compressor for that at least. Compressors required for CNG production on the other hand are extremely powerful compressor. So if ANOH decides to install such compressor in their facilities, they would produce CNG. I haven't visited that facility so I can't say about that. Cheers. Ps. As long as u are dealing with gas, u need a compressor for transportation and compression.. |

Femmyfamous4u: Entrepreneurs always encourage starting small. If he makes a plan to build 10 modular refineries since 2015, 1 every year he would have start production since 5 years. He is try to lump it all at once. That's what is leading to delay. 1 Like |

otemeh01:Bro @bolded try and use Google a little. Stop mixing LPG with LNG. There is no refrigeration in production of LPG, there is no tangible compression too. Refrigeration of gas is a cryogenic process meant for transportation and not production. LPGs are products of condensation and not refrigeration. Actually ANOH is just a gas processing plant and not even the only one. We have gas processing plants in almost all Associated gas fields. It is meant to reduce gas flare. But u see that large gas deposits you guys are talking of, the natural gas from those wells does not need any processing plant, they are non associated gas and they are lean from source I will wrap up my stand this: 1. CNG cannot replace petrol in the next 30years because natural gas production (not deposit ooo) is far less than natural gas demand 2. There is no electric cars replacing any petrol cars 3. Dangote refinery is nothing like ajaokuta steel because it is privately owned, hence those stupid government things won't affect it. Let's even say Nigerians stop buying, dangote wants to export his products 1 Like |

Zionmdde:Well, there is compression and refrigeration in LPG production. I work with syn gas so I know about compression and refrigeration of gases which applies the same principle even with petroleum gases. I also did put a call to a friend that works in a gas plant and he told me they do compression and refrigeration in the process of making LPG. All that being said, you can't say CNG can't replace petrol because the world moves fast. Who would have thought in the 2000s that we will have a phone that we be able to have a camera and surf the internet. Who would have thought China phones would be able to phase out blackberry but here we are. Man is always improving on processes. CNG cars and electric cars might take over sooner than expected. Keep an open mind... 1 Like |
