Those of us that live abroad do not plug money from the tree. Here, you work for every penny earned.

The global economic meltdown is worrisome...na God go help us all.

I pay 1500 United States dollars a month for my apartment(utility bills inclusive), feeding is cheap here, cloth on the high side, any other bills too.

Though I help out folks and family members who call once in a while to seek my assistance.

My advise is that everyone should just hold on and keep pushing, eh go better!
yeah bro

Nonetheless, l have resolved to accept my fate, after all, " Deutsche den Deutsche, auslander raus "meaning Germans for Germany, foreigners get away.

Well I am back in Nigeria too and ermm it's not perfect but if you know how to package your life it's actuality not too bad. Am loving it so far but only because I don't have a job here. I reckon it would be hell if I had a job. I try to hustle online remotely

Nice to have some people with back and forth travel experiences on the thread. Brotherly, how do you see the idea on a sister thread about Nigerians complaining about not having a good life over there and the prospect of having a better life here

This thread precisely

Btw, I won't stay in Germany even if I'm paid 2 M per month just to live in the country.

One of the most toughest city for foreigners when you're planning to stay.l was first in Duren, then,Alsdorf and Aachen.Certainly, the best thing to do, is to have a business of your own when you arrive here never plan to be employed by anyone, you would be frustrated.Wishing you all the best. You can connect me if you're able to take the bull by the head. Life is a journey.

brotherly, as humans what we consider as suffering is not static. It changes over time with different circumstances. Right now living in naija suffering to you is no light and bad roads and no jobs and bad infrastructure. You want to japa to enjoy those things. After you japa, after a few years your idea of suffering changes to water bills, light bills, council tax, heavy taxation, bad weather, tiny apartment, crazy car insurance price, racism, not feeling like you belong, inability to save anything because of heavy billing etc etc. Then you stArt missing the simplicity of home with no bills. You generate your own water and light and houSe is paid for and no council tax, and buka food everywhere and everybody looks like you and you feel like you belong etc etc. All the things you used to complain about seem like no big deal anymore aka bad roads and light issue. You are missing home but now you are stuck in London forever because you can never eArn enough to relocate back home again because of heavy billing unless you are just one of the lucky few who is like an IT guru earning good money. And so depression sets in . That's the life of the average Londoner . Stuck. Can't move back and can't move forward .

Copy and paste this my reply into that thread brotherly

Some parts of Germany are good. Munich etc

Seriously zoo can be more organize, I think the country can be related to Wildlife sanctuaries (even though it is worse than that) where animals are on their habitat, because in zoo things are more coordinated. Is it about Citizens telling their fellow citizens to leave the same country, or to talk about Senator using his own mouth to confess he influenced his justice wife decisions abi issue of a known bandit that all the country arsenal were deployed to look for but couldn't when a "mere" journalist was able to track him in the bush and he confessed that the "government" paid him so much and use the same funds to buy more weapons and bullets for onward terrorism. I mean I can give "millions" of reason why the country should be donated to white rich men for purpose of flying their jets to engage in Mess or grazing ground to test their specimen.

Well... as for my late realization, I started following the news of the country just years ago as I was out and couldn't care what is happening but for the good number of years that I have been active with the happenings and living in the country, everyday points and confirm to one solution which is dissolution of the country for everyone peace of mind and sanity.
Haha, u are correct. A senator saying his wife makes the decisions without holding a political office o. Bulkachawa is the name of the fulani politician. I can remember one time he went to UK ( I think to solicit for Ekweremadu for his child trafficking offence) and Koiki met him and disgraced him.

Imagine the stupid country sef! A sitting senator smuggling a minor to take his kidney for his own daughter.

What sort of zoo is this for God sake?!

Can you expand on Christian culture? Germany is not a religious nation, but there are small group of believers that follow up with each other

My take: if you don't understand German and you are living outside the main cities: Berlin, Munich, Hamburg you would struggle to get by with other people

I have lived in different cities in Germany. I have never experienced any kind of racism. I mingle with top society Germans on a daily basis, nothing as such.

I know Aachen, I always felt at peace there. I lived in small cities such as Babenhausen, Hofheim, Sarstedt, Peine, etc.

Germany is one of the best country in this earth. Don't believe whatever people write online to justify their own misadventures.

This is true everywhere in the world. If someone does not speak English nor hausa and lives in Kano, will he get by with the locals?

Seems that couple needs some serious family planning advice. How could they seriously bring another child into the world given their current situation? Sad thing be say, they'll end up using these children as leverage to almost constantly bother friends, acquaintances, and family for help.

Couldn't pay or he didn't want to? There are lots of people owing equivalent of that amount, or less in Naira who are capable of paying back but just wouldn't because they're chronic debtors and feel that you're well off than them. Hence you don't need the money.
ceejay80s:
U don't need to be in UK to know, I have a child hood friend who owed me £300 since 2009, after the bashing on social media he sent me £100 last year December and since then been ignoring me, getting the £100 was pure luck, person wey dey work for UK wey owe me for 14year and couldn't pay....

Most K states in Nigeria are terrible. Kano might be different due to the level of commerce there. I can imagine how Kogi is. The name alone screams multidimensional poverty. grin
I went there for a wedding ceremony three years ago, not even now. I can't imagine how it would look now. The city makes you wonder if the government has any reach or jurisdiction over such places.

There and then, you realize say Nigeria is actually just three states. Abuja, Lagos, and port Harcourt. The rest na unwanted attachment.

Unless Japan and maybe South Korea, if a black African woman is interested in superior citizenships, the rest of Asia should not pursued as places to eke a good living, or get a suitor or house. Singapore is also fine for good and stable jobs but should never hope to be a permanent resident, let alone a citizen. A man can go to Malaysia, kpata kpata he hustles or marry a local most likely a Chinese Malay. Use am collect citizenship or at least permanent residency.
The idea of living in a place and getting citizenship is a Western concept really, and since the prime global order is neoliberalism, other countries adopted it, especially if they are a UN countries. True, Asian countries don't give a shit if you have lived there almost forever.

The Netherlands for example is very liberal. You can be a Dutch citizen if you are married to a Dutch person for three years, even if you haven't set foot in the Netherlands in your life.

You apply through the embassy, prove you have been married for three years, and live abroad with your spouse, then boom, you get your citizenship.

I trade forex for years. Oil was never stable at $140. Even when it sold at $100, how much were you guys paying on subsidy ? Did the nation have any developmental enterprise that could have been expanded ?

Nigeria was founded unpon a foundation of failure. It can't be pinned on just a administration while the others are left out. Please while GEJ could have ameliorated some national projects to correct some of these errors. Please what did Obasanjo, Yard Adua or Buhari do to correct it ?

It's hypocrisy to single out Jonathan
Shut up mister. I used to roll with politicians before I realized they love no one but themselves and left that circle. You have no idea the things they do.

Speaking German? I was a domeltscher for polizie.l can speak excellent German language, l would go with Nigerian to courts, police stations to defend them, particularly those with issues. Even when l arrived Nigeria, l would go to marriage registry and translated marriage divorce letters for money.Sometimes, l prepare Nigerians preparing for A1,2,3_ German language in gothe schools in V/ISLAND personally at home. Many of them indeed are making it and are checking out.

Your life your call.

I was not trying to convince you of anything, my goal was to find if your assertion was backed by experience or mere hearsay , moreso if there is any serious substance to your claim.

When I see the countries you are comparing with Germany, I guess it settles it for me.
