Lol yeye bank. It took them 2 to 5 years and 50 email messages to honour my request to close my account. This same feature has been on my bank for years.

I even introduce this to them to implement but them no hear.

I was having less than $3 on my dormiciliary account and their branches will always advice I leave the account like that to close naturally because according to them 1.8 and 1.9 dollars cannot be withdrawn. Who does that?

I told them to convert it at CBN rate of 410/$ and close the account. All fell on deaf ears.

Just last month, I decided to go violent on my email to their head office and threatening to deal with them for playing with my life and emotions. Sharp sharp account officer call me they preach. Oga close the damn account. I hate your bank, your customer service and altitude to customers

Banks will be feeling like Kings on top people's money.

Keep hyping this bank that is now leaving on past glory while their banking hall is littered with customers all complaining about little things that can be solved in less than 24 hours without visiting the bank.

Most banks in Nigeria keeps wasting away Nigerians productive hours in their hall.

Oh well Nigeria is not a productive country but a busy country lest no customer in the city would have the productive hours to keep wasting in bank for days and yet no solutions in sight.

You can use Flutterwave app called “Send”. I’ve been using it for quite a while now.

But you need to have a USA bank and they use ACH for the deposit. It usually reflect in 1-3 days.

Rate is like that 787 naira to $1 as at yesterday that I used it.

Gtb is one bank I naturally love despite it's flaws eg poor customer care, don't think they have ridiculous charges, their app isn't easy to navigate/ use, web internet banking makes one appear daft( u type user name, then to put password, 1million of it appears)... lol

okay I still don't like them they should explain why I keep receiving debit alert on credit transaction if they don't remove 50 naira they will remove 100 all in the name of stamp duty or electronic transfer levy. Nonsense their customer care is appalling I had to start teaching one of their customer care what to do. Do they employ daft people when they are not ready to pay they will be employing NCE and OND as customer care rep. All in the name of cuting cost

I think I tried 3 PM over here yesterday, forgetting that it isn’t 3 PM in Nigeria. That said, I wouldn’t recommend using a Nigeria bank to change dollars automatically. World Remit is wayyy better. I have sent monies repeatedly in the dead of the night Nigerian time and the recipients revived them in twenty minutes.

With ID, you can send up to $50k +.

I get that it is still early days, but it is worrying to see how bad things are realistically looking in such a short time.
