All i can do now that will benefit others that are interested in answer to ur question, is to do a little financial rundown on one equipment based on my little experiences in equipment leasing/hiring.

LetS go with DOZER (D6H LGP)  i mean a grade A

This will cost you btw 13 to 15 million naira in Nigeria

All things being equal it will work minimum of 18 days in a month

Expected daily income is 70,000  naira

Budget 10,000 naira for any unforseen expenses from 70,000naira

MOST THINGS THAT MAKE UP EXPENSES

-oil
-changing of hose(if bust)
-filters
-greesing
-servicing

Buying of oil depends on issues on ground: you need oil to top up hydraulic tank if it got low,also to transmission and engine.  Most important you buy oil if you have any hose bust.

Changing of hose if bust: this is where you must have a quick response to situation ,if not this can make you to lose two days of work.  time management

Filters: oil filter, hydraulic filter, transmission filter, water filter, fuel filter etc  The most reocurrent one is fuel filter, you dont need to wait untill servicing period to do this because of our diesel nature in the country.

Greesing: most especially when you buy a tokunbo machine,greese all the movable joints

Servicing: minimum of 150hrs and maximum of 250hrs

General overhaule: every six months or 8 months

Having said that, experience on how to resolve matters in equipment line count and your managerial skill on the field.

I hope this will assist you in a little way to write for your business plan or alternatively ask questions.

Remember undercarriage is the most important area you look after when buying bulldozer,excavator after transmission and engine area has been perfectly checked.

As far as lekki/ajah axis is concern now,payloader is not more lucrative as usual due to the policy of minners association based on their work sharing formulas. Majorly for this raining season when the main focus of payloaders owner/managers is borrowpit. May be things will get back to normal during the dry season when every borrowpit owner will work according to their work plan/schedules. the sudden policy is another unfortunate slap and embarrassment to the payloader's investors but which can only happens to payloader.

I find it difficulty to understand why some people misunderstood small or medium scale business to long investment business. What can make you rich overnight can also make you go bankrupt overnight. the higher the risk the higher the income without greedy intention. The business is not a game nor a gamble but a workable business strategy with a realistic plans that will be attainable by all parties involved.

Good day Omolayo. I was wondering if you have any experience and advise you can give me on a Schwing Concrete pump truck. Do you think its a good machine to bring into the country? An engineer that I work with In Abuja said its a good lucrative machine to have. He claims they go for about N130,000 per day in Abuja. I will like to have your opinion before I go ahead and try to bring one in. The concrete pump trucj is used mainly for getting poured concrete to high elevations, like story buildings and posts for bridges ETC.

not only current but also active in operation around ajah area of lekki. talking about long hiring for 966c may be possible with a connection but as for me, i source for jobs within my tantacles without a qurantee but with achivable contract with you or anybody ease.

meanwhile i must tell you that payloader is not more as lucrative as before around ajah/lekki here due to so many factors i may not be able to analyse to you here. remember as i always say;we are not only in the biz but to give a professional landmark that will make you tell a good stories abt us on project managment on constructions.
