He hit hard at the Brigade of Guards. There must be a reason for this.
Ensuring complete loyalty.

The immediate past Commander was less than 6 months on the job, and appointed by the ex-president.

His loyalty is "questionable" in that regard.

A commander he appointed, and fellow tribesman to boot will "always" be more loyal.

Sir, I don't understand. You aren't making any attempt to differentiate between herdsmen and Ansaru. You are saying they are one and the same?

Are you saying they accidentally killed themselves via their own IED or soldiers? The wording is a bit weird.🙃

Oh dam the westerners about to come after us now for cooperating with a military of a member of their axis of evil. Hopefully our pointless UN condemnation vote is a powerful enough shield or else they’re going to cook us like South Africa. grin

If they planted the IED, they must have known its location. Then how were they killed by it?

Or did it blow up as they were setting it up?

It's extremely amazing what the Chinese have done. They have built a blue water navy in like 20 years and have war equipment that's seriously competitive with the best that the US and the West can offer.
They sure have my utmost respect and ceaselessly march forwards in all fields, from tech to civil engineering. Rooting for them to develop their own chips and render Western sanctions null.

CAS AT NADCEL 2023, INSPECTS ONGOING PROJECTS AT NEW NAF BASE IN IBADAN

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar joined other dignitaries and well-wishers at Ibadan earlier today, 6 July 2023, for the 2023 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL). The event, which coincided with the 160th Anniversary of the Nigerian Army (NA) witnessed display of various arsenals in the inventory of the Nigerian Army, parade as well as NA Physical Training Corp calisthenics display. Nigerian Air Force (NAF) C-130 aircraft and Mi-117 helicopter were also on hand to provide airlift for NA rappelers and paratroopers who exhibited skills, courage and professionalism during the well-attended event. Indeed, it was a commendable display of synergy and coordination by NAF aircrew and NA troops.

While at Ibadan, the CAS also took time to inspect ongoing projects at the new NAF Base situated at Ajia Community, Ibadan.

Recall that in April 2022, the NAF took possession of a 58-hectare land at Ajia Community in Ibadan donated by the Oyo State Government for the construction of a permanent NAF Base. It is hoped that when completed, the new Base would enhance NAF readiness and responsiveness to security challenges in the State. Situated near the Ibadan Airport, the new Base is also expected to serve as an alternate airfield to Lagos airfield, thus enabling the NAF to launch seamless and efficient air operations in the Southwest Region of Nigeria.
