What's Soludo even doing in Anambra state?
I have said it countless number of times that Gov. Soludo may become the worst governor to have governed the state since her creation in 1991. I pity anambrans.

Why not first pity your backward useless worthless shithole state than constantly camping here to deceive yourself. Soludo is just one year in office and he has awarded many ongoing projects and still awarding. There’s almost none ongoing project in your backward state but you are here everyday trying to spew nonsense

All the states in SE and Nigeria are facing similar problems, it is not peculiar to Anambra. Though Soludo maybe slow but he is definitely doing something that will start showing soon because it is ongoing

moppie123:
When I complained about this administration, someone said I was a hater. He even went ahead to say I wasn’t from Anambra state. The truth is that some of us are gathered here because we want the best for our dear state. Nothing has improved since this administration came on board. The few roads being constructed lack some of the basic things modern roads should have. The tout menace has continued unchallenged and nothing has been done about sanitation. This thread was always busy when Obiano was the governor. I always saw updates on road constructions, tourism, community development, wealth creation, education and health. My town even had streetlights running through the major roads. Even during Covid, things were going on.

The truth is that Anambra needs a firm leader, most of the problems in Anambra can simply be solved with having the right laws and policies in place and these things will not break the bank. I expected the governor, as an economist, to come up with solid strategies on how to empower the people and create wealth. I felt so indifferent when I read that palm seedlings were shared to individuals without proper training and structure in place. There has been no innovative ideas on wealth creation, no different approach to capacity building, just the normal talk talk governance with loud mouthed praise singers.

At least we have seen many roads project Soludo awarded. Your Enugu state is in a mess, your governor has no direction at all but you are here deceiving yourself. You should be on Enugu thread to tackle your governor but you won’t do that, that was how miscreants like you allowed ugwuanyi to waste eight years with almost nothing to show, now you got another governor you have left him to start eating semo and onugbu from one wedding to another while Enugu state is going down the drain.

Aba, Owerri, Enugu, Umuahia, etc, are worse decayed towns in Nigeria with their touting compare to Onitsha. At least we are seeing urban renewal that’s ongoing in Onitsha. Soludo might be slow but he is definitely doing something.

Kossyso:
Ndi uka na agbani nke ukwuu na Anambra state. Very well organized in all their establishments. If you are not in Onitsha, you will never understand the level of decay in this city of ours.
The only thing we ask of which is to remove agbero from our city, he is failing woefully at it. If you can't do simple things well, how can you handle big projects?
Umunnem, ona adikwam ka anyi abago one chance na ebe Soludo no. Onwerozi ife anyi na aghota! Onwerozi onye obi di mma at all.😞😞

Another Anambra School, Mater Amabilis Secondary School Umuoji Wins SAGE Competition

The students of Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji, Anambra State, have once again made their school proud by clinching the prestigious title of champions at the 2023 National Entrepreneurship Exhibition and Awards organized by the Nigerian segment of the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE). This remarkable achievement came after fierce competition from 20 top schools across the country. The event, held from 25th to 28th June, 2023, at the Area Council Service Commission House in Garki, Abuja, showcased the innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills of the participating teams.

Mater Amabilis Secondary School impressed the judges with their outstanding projects, securing the overall First Position. Their projects include a hydro-electric device that converts saltwater into electricity and a multi-purpose agro machine capable of weeding, irrigating, seeding, fumigating, and monitoring soil moisture and nutrient levels. These groundbreaking solutions demonstrate the students' creativity, innovation, and commitment to addressing pressing societal challenges.

The remarkable achievement of Mater Amabilis Secondary School has earned them the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the upcoming SAGE World Cup in Italy later this year. Moreover, the gold-winning students have been granted a 100% scholarship to study at Cyprus International University. The team was led by Mr. Joshua Ekeh who was also recognized as the SAGE Best Mentor of the Year award and Miss Grace Amamudi.

Rev. Fr. Francis Onwuchulum, the Manager of Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students for their exceptional performance, considering it another milestone in the school's history of success. He urged the award-winning students to remain focused in their studies and view this triumph as a stepping stone toward even greater accomplishments in life. He lauded the Proprietor of the School, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha, whom he described as the brain behind all the achievements the school has recorded in recent times.

Currently, the project of the New Government House, Awka is stalled already 😢...

Is Soludo not disbursing funds for the numerous projects he kickstarted or what's going on?

Nothing concerns me with what's happening in all this place you mentioned. You have to quit this comparison for it doesn't solve any of this ugly situations on ground. No be only urban renewal na rural renewal. Do you even stay in Onitsha? Mention the renewal you are even talking about? Dey play!

You are talking nonsense. Most of you are not even from Anambra, face your backward state. Niger drive is under reconstruction, Upper Iweka to Ochanja is under construction, roads in 3-3, trans Nkisi are under construction, etc. Soludo maybe slow but denying he isn’t doing anything is false

Are you one of the contractors to know if it is stalled or not funded. You people should face your state. Your incompetent governor in Enugu state is there wasting time and confused but you are not worried, that was how ugwuanyi wasted 8yrs with nothing to show. We are back to it again

This is wonderful! I loved that you adopted a broader use of your youtube channel to do some self-reflecting thoughts for Anambra people and Ndigbo in general. Yes, no matter the opinions you get from the different camps, it is often a wonderful thing for someone to get the discussion going by highlighting pertinent issues. I often join BVI Channel 1 on youtube because he brings up really thought-provoking issues to discuss. Hopefully, your website will create news rather than repost stale news or videos already published on other websites.

With the total absence of any avenues for people to advise Anambra government officials, I would like to see your website and youtube channel adopt a sort of weekly street interview videos about what people feel about some government programs or activities. As well as "advise" they would like to offer to the government. Allowing people to submit comments under each story would also drive the popularity and member retention of the website.

Great job on this next step of having a functional website!

I do not want to be unnecessarily pessimistic but Soludo needs to tinker his road policy ASAP.............this is what Onitsha /owerri has turned into. The funny thing is that the drainage channels on both sides of this particular drain from New Tarzan to metallurgical is so deep and wide ,that 2 keke tricycles can run along the drain or canals.........yet soludo in 15 months has not been able to desilt these vital canal! I tire o!

Onitsha-Owerri is a federal road , it is expected that FG should fix that portion that got bad because it links Upper Iweka interchange and Obosi interchange. If FG cannot do it, Soludo should do it and seek for refund thereafter. However there are worse roads than this in Owerri, Aba and Enugu.

What is happening in Anambra is disheartening and sad.
I have been vocal about the bad roads in Onitsha and the environs but will always be attacked by Obiano's workers. The bad road you guys are attacking Soludo for started from Obiano you guys are praising. How can you have a city scattered with bad roads and be building an airport in a village and also doing a conference center you know you won't even complete?
Onitsha is only known because of its big markets and allied industries, you only need to build good roads and give them security for life to be soft for both traders and their customers coming from far and wide. Just build roads and roads because an average Onitsha person still doesn't know that Anambra has an airport since you can drive on a good road to Asaba airport which is just 20 mins drive now that traffic has drastically reduced on the 1st Niger bridge. I don't know if all these Anambra governments belong to a coven that swore to make life hard for residents and road commuters. Aside from Onitsha's big markets, it's also a big road transportation hub for transport companies in SE/SS.
Now Soludo is building a flyover at Ekwuluobia and he's even pulling many structures down because of the flyover while Onitsha is in dire need of a motorable road. The only vital road under construction is Niger Street and they started the project in January Julius Berger only took two months to complete its 1st Niger bridge bypass which is an even more difficult project while Niger Street is only 40% completed.
