kokoA:Yes bro, once there’s mass importation of tokunbo’s thru the lekki port, price of cars will be cheaper. But some will still prefer to smuggle to avoid tax. |

Sad news because their deja vu is on retro. Any time they are given a headstart, noisemaking of sophistication inadvertently places them on a cliff of backwardness. They will eventually fall and then ronu will follow suit. |

slawomir:You are deceiving yourself. The seaport is not the only pride of Lagos. There are countries without seaports and are economically viable. The people are the drivers of economic prosperity. Anambra can have 3 sea ports and still become a shadow of itself. Lest you forget, Niger Delta is oil rich but remains poor and desolate. Leadership is everything. The people are everything. 2 Likes |

slawomir: I'm not sure if your statement is in jest or a serious one but I truly agree with it, about decongesting Lagos Lagos state is over-congested, and it's neighboring states are also bearing the brunt The earlier it's decongested, the better. Facilities are not enough for the people living in Lagos- hospitals, housing, public schools, transport, good roads etc, just name it. Lagos is more populous than Kano state, like almost double the population, while Kano is 5 times bigger than Lagos. You can see the people in Lagos are seriously suffering with all sorts of ailments linked with overpopulation. The traffic, the noise, haba the life there is too stressful They really need to do something about encouraging people to move out of Lagos, because they don't really have the landmass for more schools, hospitals etc. If they had the land, it would be easier to provide enough amenities for the people living there. They're even going to the ocean area now to build houses on top. Until mammy water says enough is enough and decides to flood them It's a serious issue 1 Like |

Oakenshield: Why are the other ports not working though? I learnt there is one in Onne too. It seems ships don't like going there, but I'm not sure of the reason why. Ships should be encouraged to land there. The stress in Apapa, Lagos is too much and the traffic used to be crazy. I truly believe other ports should be made functional. It will also generate more revenue to the government and of course jobs to the indigenes. Maybe if Apapa starts charging 50x more than other ports, people will start looking at bringing in goods using other ports 1 Like |

So as big as Nigeria is, it's going to be having just one port. Pathetic and some stupid folks are here screaming that people are wailing and the rest of them. So who is the bigot now? What happened to Calabar port? Yall screaming and praising Bat for any single stupid decision he makes. Most of you can't purchase 20 letres of fuel, electricity tariff increased and the so called money saved from fuel subsidy any of am reach your account. Yall are so stupid and good at dick riding. This same Lagos gon' crash soon cause you can't force everything on one state. |

lexy2014: Apparently, you are going about this the way a police officer would- interrogation 😅 I have got some time today, but I’m not going to indulge all day. My assertion is that Lagos built the Lekki deep seaport and I have told you when the construction started and finished. Don’t you think it’s high time you spilt your rejoinder?- if you’ve got any. 1 Like |
