ksmart027:Impressive! I will recommend a gallon of fuel in the trunk. And if for any reason car goes off while driving, pour it in. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Kewtt: 6:35am On Jul 04, 2023 |
2003 Toyota Sequoia Three weeks and guage is close to the full mark. Target two months on a fuel tank |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ojeysky(m): 7:06am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Kewtt:Sure it can even be 3 months on full tank if it's just going to next street and back. The miles/km covered will be more helpful |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ojeysky(m): 7:07am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ksmart027:And yet to get to half tank from your guage? That's something beyond impressive o..na which JuJu be this ![]() |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Kewtt: 7:20am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ojeysky:Nope I am not doing frown/km until I install CNG. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by GAZZUZZ(op): 8:24am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ojeysky:Nah why I say make gallon of fuel de handy. That gauge has stopped working ![]() |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ksmart027(m): 8:28am On Jul 04, 2023 |
GAZZUZZ:Boss, my reserve tank can take me upto 150km. I will refuel when i get to reserve. |

ksmart027:Some things are not just possible sir. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Piyke: 8:36am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ksmart027:Did you actually stop when the fuel nozzle clicked? At this rate, car will get to 800km. Those days, before I got delivered, if I fill up my EoD to the brim, I would drive 80 plus miles (128km) before the fuel gauge would start moving.... |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Grupo(m): 8:41am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ksmart027:Ha. Reserve tank is usually 10 liters in many cars with a 50 liters tank. No way 10 liters takes you 150km. Abeg, pity some of us that only get 200 miles with 40 liters on corolla. 😊😊😊 |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ojeysky(m): 8:51am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Grupo:I thought they said corolla no dey chop fuel, see Moto wey no be Toyota sef dey ball. ![]() My RDX does just about 280 miles on 75 liters so ve consoled with that ![]() |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Grupo(m): 8:55am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ojeysky:Na so them talk o, but I no know whether na village people dey follow me and this my car. How can be doing 200 miles with 40 liters. I didn't care when fuel was cheap. But I don dey find solution now. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ksmart027(m): 9:07am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Piyke:I don't think i will get upto 800km, the fuel gauge drop faster at half mark. I did not fill to the brim, i bought 50 liters and it didn't fill up the tank, courtesy of tempered meter. |

| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ksmart027(m): 9:14am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Grupo:Senior man, your car should be doing minimum of 10L/100km, your mpg is bad for a Corolla. My car is stick shift, so i shift faster, i get 130 to 150 liters on 10L depending on my driving pattern. |

| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by ojeysky(m): 9:42am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Grupo:I don't think there is anything seriously wrong with your car. I had a corolla 07 in my custody for a few weeks and that's about the mileage I experienced as well |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Grupo(m): 9:46am On Jul 04, 2023 |
ojeysky:Wow. Interesting. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Kenosky1: 9:51am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Grupo:Quite shocked at what I am getting from my 2 Corollas (2003 and 2009). Not getting up to 200miles for 40 liters... so disappointed in them. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Kenosky1: 9:55am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Grupo:Mine is the same, we may be over-hyping the car. |
| Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by Grupo(m): 10:39am On Jul 04, 2023 |
Kenosky1:Wow. So I'm not alone in this. Well, I'm going to run some experiments this week that may improve things. I'll share results here. |
