Face facts? I asked you, what happens in the South East? Only the civil service still makes the region habitable.

Tell me! What goes on there? Those minor private investment-banks and telecoms?

You cannot polish wood and make it look like gold.

Let me reinstate my earlier fact, in all the corners of the South West, their is an Igbo man hustling there, never wanting to return home.

Yet the GDP of Anambra state is still part of the 10 top in Nigeria...

There is nothing with Igbos living in any part of Nigeria...

Moreover is not only SW you will find Igbos even Sudan you will find Igbos...

I was in a village that doñ't access to electricity in one northern state, lol and behold, ndi Igbos were still doing mechanic, carpenter and provisions in those villages.
I asked the one we bought something from, how can u stay in place where like this since u are from SE that's developed.
He said he is trying to survive, moreover he comes from a village worse than this, a village that doñ't have a federal road passing through it like the one he is staying in.
In a nutshell, SE is only successful online, whereas lgb0s who are in Benue are going back to call the ones in the east sûffering to come and live better in Benue, but lgb0s will insuIt Benue at the slightest opportunity and Benue people (especially Idomas) will cow before them, same way they go to Kogi, Kano, Kaduna, Adamawa, etc etc all in search of greener pastures.
But they will tell u they are from better places.

See the way you rushed to asslick your Ab0ki slave masters as an introduction.

No shame at all... being so proud of being a conquered slave grin

You respect those that suyalized 3 million of your people ? undecided

No wonder Asari proudly called himself your slave master and all your men ran away in cowardice. No wonder Simon Ekpa with his laptop and WiFi controls grown men from continents away.

" I respect my Conquerors" ...how pathetic. grin

Its no longer news that southwest is becoming the poverty capital of the nation. If u go beyond the capital and into the villages of Ogun, Ondo, Osun and most especially Kwara and Ekiti, you will shed tears for the inhabitants of these areas. There u see people eating poverty as food. The worst part is there are very low remittances from family members who have managed to travel outside these areas.
A typical yoruba youth once he managed to leave these areas finds it difficult connecting back to his root. You have lots and lots of these villagers scavenging for food and there is very little to scavenge because the leadership has very minimal presence outside the state capitals

A young yoruba fron Ogun, Ondo etc will arrive Lagos and automatically becomes a Lagos indigene abandoning his root and people back home.

There should be awareness among Yoruba youths to arresting this very ugly trend because parents after struggling to train their kids will be left abandoned by their children

If truly there's poverty in those Yoruba places you mentioned, your people will not be trooping to the SW on daily basis seeking greener pastures and economic survival.

You’re right, abroad is not as easy as many thinks. The endless bills and the quest for greatness is time and energy consuming. Finally when you feel you have accomplished something you’re already deep in the system with lot of debt, and sometimes when you send something home for someone to do something in your behalf they won’t do it right or they won’t do it at all.

The challenges abroad alone is enough. Talk about coming back to invest or settle down then you’ll see Nnamdi with no mercy coming to rob and kill your family just to cat away with everything you have go back to Anambra and claim to be business man from Lagos. He might even have a clothe shop somewhere in town where he stocks the shop with the proceeds of robbery

It’s a really sad situation

Finally what you call poverty in SW is not really poverty, it’s contentment, every Yoruba family teaches their children to be contented and live modest life that doesn’t say you won’t see a few abandon that principle got frustrated and go into crime. You might think people who live in these brown roof property are poor. Not really some of them are just content and have chosen modest part of life

the child MPI shows higher poverty in the North-East and North-West (where 90% of children are poor) and lower poverty in the South-East and South-West (74% and 65.1% respectively). The incidence of Child MPI is above 50% in all States and greater than 95% in Bayelsa, Sokoto, Gombe and Kebbi.
Four million Nigerians – 2.1% of the population – live with a child aged 15–17 who is the first generation in that household to have completed primary school.

Forget the riffraffs on Nairaland, the real Yorubas are learning and connecting back to their hometowns outside Lagos, only the nodowells among them that depend on owomida remain and die in Lagos without ever visiting their ancestral home in Ogun or Osun or Oyo or Ondo
