I saw a chat where a guy said he makes 500k to 800k up until now...many of them are still doubting if the guy was lying while majority of them are asking the guy how is he making it in this economy.

In another topic last Saturday,I saw a post where a lady claimed she spent close to 120k per month eating out,yet she was fiercely rebuked called all sorts of names such as ashawo,some made jest of her that she can't be a good wife material when,according to them,the money should have been used to cook at home.

In conclusion,I just realised here that Nairaland is like a meeding ground for extremely poor men and hardworking and responsible women.

Most of the guys here have never touched 1million naira,(i don't mean to insult them) let alone own it.


I pray that some day things will change for them all.


But their mouths have brought them more poverty than riches.

So,stop abusing hardworking women...ok

There is nothing to say the men are extremely broke and the women are hardworking. However, I do agree that the men without means makeup the most reactive men on Nairaland.

This everyday 100k, 200k argument boils down to our economy. In a country where someone saves for a year to buy a used iPhone X with 71% battery life, it is only normal that people think 120k a month on feeding is LUXURY. It is indeed luxury for the majority and majority carries the vote.

As long as the girl doesn't saddle an innocent man with these food bills, she is good to go.

This is why I will always endorse hypergamy. It keeps everyone sane. Especially the man.

But the basis of both scenarios are totally different.

The first said he MAKES....
The second said she SPENDS....ON EATING OUT.

If both genders were switched, the second will still come under fire because any reasonable person will do well to save money by adding home cooked meals to their lifestyle to curb unecessary spending.

So it's not a gender attack my dear.

That said, RICH is relative. To some babes, 1kva Senwei generator and Gotv is rich. Some others is 2.5kva with Dstv and Corolla. So, there is a "rich" man for different classes of Nigerian women.
