There two methods

Method 1

1. Get a statement of account from your PFA
2. Write a letter to your employer asking them to remit all your pension deducted from your monthly salary.
2(a). Attach a copy of the statement of account as evidence that your employer is not up to date in it's remittance of your pension.
2(b). If possible attach all your pay slip as evidence that your pension are constantly deducted.
2(c). Quote a section of the Pension Reform Act where there is penalty for non remittance of deducted pension from employee salary.
2(d) CC the following in your letter:
PENCOM
YOUR PFA
EFCC.
3. Ensure you send a copy of the letter to your PFA and PENCOM.
4. Ensure you have a copy of your letter duly stamped " RECEIVED "
5. Do all above also by E-mail to your HR, Finance Dept, and MD, especially if you are not getting positive feedback from the hardcopy of your letter.

Method 2
Write a letter to the Head, Surveillance Department, the address in Lagos is 88A oduduwa crescent Ikeja GRA, Lagos
Watch the magic that would unfolds.

Method 2 works faster than the speed of light

As regards taxes if it's LIRS
Kindly send a mail with the name of the company and address to etaxinfo@lirs.net
Cc Haolat.Agbetoba@lirs.net
Best of luck. wink

In a serious country, ur PFA will take the burden off you and do the chasing. I got the attached from my Pension Fund Administrator informing me they reported an employer I worked for 3 years ago in the UK for late remittance of my deductions.

You'll be shocked that your savings is not even up to N100k.
That said, start by writing your former employer with a copy to PENCOM to update you with your statement of account.

Hi everyone,

I worked with this company for over 3 years. The company kept deducting pension and taxes every month without remitting. I have left the company for close to a year now and still no remittance.

Please is there any body I can report this to directly? Or I have to approach a court?

It’s annoying because mine ran into a million and this company is doing this to all the staff.

Please I need advice on how to approach the matter.
I guess the company is located at ogba

God will visit them with a downfall if they refuse to release the moneies of their poor workers.
I know a company that does the same in Ikeja. It is owned by a very powerful family. They have faded into irrelevance already. No one patronises them again

This period where organisations are battling with high business cost coupled with the rigid FIRS policies. Imagine a company took LC(Loan Credit) to finance its business. hardly could he declare profit in line with huge interest and bank lending rate, low business patronage, ever increasing operating cost. upon self-filing returns, FIRS through the relevant tax law says he has no right to pay as per Normal taxable CIT since his tax on CIT is low he is supposed to pay on minimum tax over a gross turnover he made virtually nothing on. In the view of all this struggle how will the firm increase staff remuneration in this subsidy era. most firms will talk about lean cost management I hope they wont lay up some staff for cushion. This people generally are insensitive.

Most of the people dropping comments here are just employees who have no idea the immense financial burdens on companies and employers so they come here to drop gibberish. They should consider starting their own business and see how long they can survive with it. Employers are facing a hard time. This is the truth and the employees are just being overtly insensitive.

It seems u don't know what Pension is all about.
It is deduction from staff salaries. If they know that they won't remit it, they shouldn't have deducted it

And this you put out here justifies the reason for deducting these statutory deductions from your meagre salary without remittance?

You need Jesus!

I have a question concerning pension.

Does pension expire? Will it reach a certain time that an individual will not be collecting pension again?

Report them to Pencom. It's a serious offence to not remit pension of workers. They could pay a very hefty price.

Someone told me according to the new constitution, pension is for life.

Ur ignorance is at the high side. There is no offence that can make an employer to withhold employees Pension.

As far as salary has been paid, the pension is due for remittance. If the staff has no Pension account, it won't be deduct from his salary.
