The palliatives will kick in by then. The FGN is raising a war chest for that with savings of 400bn per month as we speak.

The idea is to stay extra taxation until then. Nigerias tax is still 10% of GDP compared to the African average of 16%

Nigeria generate $100-150 billion annually from everything heck kolanut which we are the world's largest producer generate like $2 million (#1 billion) and we have our own currency which is no where else on the planet (unlike the Dollar or Euro (USD, AUSD, CAD, or 27 Eurozone plus few countries in other continent) so this is a sensible move.
