How much do you think the income frkm Tourism and Relexation can add to GDP compared to Say a factory like innoson motors in Nnewi or a gas plant in Ohaji, Imo state?

Ask Greece and Mallorca?

I think you need to reward your response something in this line "the level of investment in tourism in Enugu may not be enough to offset the gains from the likes of innoson motors in Nnewi or a gas plant in Ohaji."

Comparing straight line without curved line. Also comparison length with width
if I do the curve, Onitsha is still small. Should I?

Part of Onitsha metropolitan area, be guided
Kuku call the whole of SE, Onitsha metroplitan area na.
Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Dortmund and Essen are so close together you'll rarely know the difference and they sprawl thousands of square kilometers, yet you'll never hear all these places being grouped under only one City like Dortmund metropolitan area.
Talk about London and Birmingham.
Oga, Onitsha is Onitsha, Nnewi, Orlu and Ogidi are on their own too. You can't lump them together and start calling them Onitsha. The other places are jokes to you right?

How is that the longest road? Onitsha is expanding towards Nnewi Owerri Axis, and merging with Aguleri towards the north

Experts from international organisations have already done the lumping. Maybe the places you mentioned are not close enough for such lumping. Meanwhile Tokyo is a product of such lumping. Even Lagos is a product of lumping because even Ikeja is not Lagos

yes I agree.
But those onitsha guys also need to agree to the fact that, Onitsha is the smallest big city in the east.
Onitsha is smaller in landmass than Aba, Enugu and Owerri.

Stop disgracing yourself, you have been schooled severally about the difference between a city and urban metro but you have refused to learn

This is the real picture even as usual, you people love to confuse yourselves with data that you can not properly read and comprehend.

In the grand scheme of things, Imo is still at the bottom.

IGR growth is poor and deplorable.

IGR per Capita is lousy

Capital important is abysmal

Revenue growth is nothing to smile about.

Imo has a long way to go and sit at home won't let the state progress economically..

Any small thing you people will run to IGR, IGR is.not GDP. GDP in the longrun drives development, IGR is a small percentage of what GOVERNMENT receives.

GDP is what the entire citizens produce. In most states development is driven by individual effort, IGR is easily stolen

Rivers has offshore too... Rivers gas is mostly in etche, omuma obigbo, and ndoni areas

Mostly Igbo speaking Rivers communities.

Ichie if I may ask, Then why do we have lotta you guys flock in droves to the SW if we're so overhyped and an average Yoruba man stays in his region and also make it there. If SW is overhyped, why are your people littered everywhere here??

May I also ask you, why are the Chinese all over Africa, and indeed, the entire world?. What are the Europeans doing outside their shores?.

Lagos is a state Comrade. You can't start calling Nnewi and Orlu, Onitsha metropolitan area, is that madness or something?
And no, those places I mentioned are closer to each other than Onitsha can ever be to Asaba.

Well, what's really in Enugu that will drive the GDP of Enugu?
Enugu is not really as industrialized as Abia, Imo and Anambra.

GDP is a factor of what you produce, what has Enugu state been producing in the past 9 years?

It's not like Enugu does agriculture again like before.

If I am to agree with you that GDP is a factor of what you produce, then I would still have to fault the list. I do not see any difference between the economy of Cross River, Osun, and Benue with Enugu. These states all depend on tourism and/or agriculture to boost their economies. I can also state for a fact that Enugu pours in more money than Ebonyi state (this is a fact). For Ebonyi to be rated above Enugu, it's similar to rating Osun above Oyo, people in the southwest would ask, how you came up with such ridiculous statistics.

Also, Enugu has indeed traded, the state trades in: mining (top five mining destination in Nigeria), agriculture, tourism, entertainment ( city with the second biggest movie and music video shots and companies after Lagos) and housing (Enugu has one of the strongest housing sectors in the country, even stronger than Abia, Anambra and Ebonyi. Infact, I can state for certain that enugu's housing sector makes it to top 10 in the country). So, I don't understand. The truth is that we know, deep down we do, we know that Enugu should be in the higher list and not bottom.

See a new corridor is forming in the eastern delta flank, Delta -Anambra- Imo . I am hoping Abia and Edo will somehow join this new economic corridor.

Truth is that there seems to a continuous flow of services , money , transactions.

So even with the sit at home 2 eastern blocks met the first 10 states.

I doff my heart for igbos
Delta, Anambra, Imo = Onitsha Urban Metro
