Egypt was paying fuel subsidies when they built new power plants. Egypt is still paying fuel subsidies.



CORRUPTION is the problem, not subsidy.

Egyp also has a diversified economy. Nigerian economy is a one trick pony

Also Egypt removed subsides because they realised that profits are needed for smooth running of the sector

We built ten power stations with subsidy on power and we ended up with issues because the subsidy meant no profit for fixing distribution and further increasing generation
