As a proud capitalist who respects numbers and data, I can understand why people love the US. Also, as black people, the US is the only place where a black person can excel economically and live a financially successful life. Whether I would like to live there eternally, I cannot say. But I would love to make money by associating with the country as a skilled worker or capitalist having the US as a major consumer country. As for the education system, no country offers more scholarships to indigent but brilliant students than American universities. I am almost done with research into the lives of top JAMB scorers, and one interesting thing I noticed, the majority relocated to study in the US free of charge. This is not applicable in other developed countries, especially as a black African. You mentioned wokism, which is true. But this is largely embedded in social sciences with the majority being in arts and humanities. In STEM fields, however, universities in the US are unparalleled due to the opportunities, quality of research, financial resources available etc.

The US has its issues, just like every country, but in some aspects, it is indisputably the number one country globally.

Anyone that has lived in Europe, let's say France, or the Netherlands, would appreciate it better. Life is just convenient in Europe. Nigerians rush to the US because of English, and familiarity, but the US is the brokest of the good life in the developed world.

I remember this American colleague I had. This guy has over 150k student debt, and on top of that, a portion of his salary goes to the US as tax. The US is the only country in the developed world that charges its citizens abroad for tax on their income.

Doesnt matter if you got US citizenship because you were born abroad and got it through your American parents, and have never lived or set foot in the US and don't speak English, you have to pay the US tax. It's insane.

Shopping is a task on its own. In Europe, the streets are walkable, you don't need cars. Bike paths everywhere. You can branch supermarket just outside your streets while coming from work. Unlike the US where supermarkets are like going to the beach.

You make time for groceries shopping, drive far to this big ass mall, then drive back. The city is built for cars, not pedestrians. A country where about 50% of its population is obese because of the junk they eat, they call food.

US capitalism is the wrong kind of capitalism. It's money before everything else. Money before humanity, society, morality, nature, culture, etc. When it comes to capitalism, the US does not do it more than the Chinese.
