Halahhalah:Why aren't you engaging me with your usual monika anymore? Just because I dropped only your first name and a few of your other monikers here you've become afraid and paranoid of mentioning me because you are scared of my going to the scam thread to reveal your complete identity abi? I laughed when i saw the way you quickly denied your name to pearl that day ![]() |

konkoabove:Unemployment rate in 🇳🇬 today is > 40%. In a country where we have more churches than industries, why won't people take up taxi driving? Why do we like to chastise people making a honest living? They hail Yahoo boys and runs girls, but insult Uber drivers. People who haven't seen life in 3D have much to say about others. Rest |

MrCarter577:I totally agree to your submission. If you’ve found the story of elupee fixing transmission and one PDP guy was insulting him. That’s the society we’ve found ourselves. Where parents take their children to special center. Parents help their children as accomplice in yahoo. You spend money today and no one will ask where you get the money from, but ask if you question poverty days. I have been sitting on this morally inclined lifestyle and I will tell you it is not easy. The decay in our society is something else. Who you know? Where you live? What kind of car you drive nd phone you use? Even our pastors have dilute the words to the level motivational speakers. They no longer preach about heaven, but wordly things. Barely anyone is left out of this mentality boss and won’t blame them. Value truly matters in life. |

Conner44:Laugh 😂 won injure me. I’ll always help my oga Uber/Bolt is different from whatever you may have been through. Yesterday I was coming to Lagos from Asaba on bus since I don’t have money for flight. Took Delta line. Nigga was just stopping anyhow doing his own runs, you go like talk? From the manager to the driver are kolo mental. Try that on Bolt or uber, if away is not your name. Bus that used to be 8k is not 15/18k… you check the difference and see what those guys are making. They are they real new oil marketers in town. Never compare ehailling with whatever you may have been thro. You don’t have knowledge of how it works out here. |

pope191:So in essence your point is that ehailing is more tedious, less profitable and riskier than interstate driving? Note that I have driven and earned on ehailing too. |

konkoabove:The narrative is changing...don't be dragged into the culture of our parents. They never wanted to hear their children going into sports, acting or music, but today we all know what's happening. Let's be real... There are still hungry lawyers and Doctors wey no get money to buy shoe. Am not bragging but no civil servant on Grade Level 11 (Fed or State) can afford my house rent and send their children to my children's school. This is being real. I make more than 1m monthly now, and I wouldn't have achieved this if I stayed in paid employment. I don't know how real u want us to b again, wen bills are staring u in d face but u r waiting for oil company job or nothing. Who no like better thing? d reason everybody wants to work in plush and tuush is for big money and benefits at the end of the day. Many of my guys are the breadwinners of their extended families, Asin parents, siblings, nephews, nieces and cousins. Meanwhile they have people working in offices in the family o. Let's cut this crap abeg |

Pearl1910:My brother, save me the stories of your success in driving. I drive too so I know what's up. My point is very clear and it was drawn from glinthronix earlier submission about barbiturate's point on not been proud to introduce himself as an Uber driver. Now I repeat, if you are truly proud to be a driver as it is an avenue to become a millionaire, just wish and pray for your child(ren) to be a driver and I will rest my case. |

Larry1960:Yesterday night, I was picking passengers from one apartment on Sule Olusesi road, Lekki. Those guys already booked a ride on indrive, but they wanted another ride for 3 persons. Lo and behold, na Toyota Landcruiser, black and tinted, body was glowing like a newly-baked Jeep. I was like, what that fooooorrrk! A whole Landcruiser on indrive? The driver na big man oooh. Omoh, I felt trashed with my big daddy. ![]() Na hazard lights + Convoy movement we take reach Ikeja wey be their destination. Omoh, people dey risk their big vehicles for this hustle ooh, on top how much? It is well oooh. Much respect, boss. |

pope191:My broda Jappa Jappa Jappaaaaaa Any graduate still driving Uber hoping to get better job, pls I beg you any way you wan do am jappa jobs dey abroad for you. They are shooting abroad, Racism full abroad, u will live like a 2nd class citizen abroad … for Nigeria na 1st class citizen u dey live ![]() Time is ticking, age dey go, hustling strength dey reduce gradually. I know a boy from very poor background, house no good at all , type of family - “can anything good come out of dis family.” Heard d guy dey UK last month I wan craze he has changed my perspective about jappa n hustling ? WHY ? If that guy can Jappa then NOBODY get excuse again, no excuse at all, though I don’t know how he did until I get in touch. but na big inspiration cos I know him. I’ve met different peeps here with different stories & without iwe d worst of them is still better than any young man earning less than 500k in Lagos in dis Tinubu regime. Nutshell find way to jappa before ur children start asking u questions later in future why u remain for naija when all ur mates dey jappa. https://www.reactiongifs.com/r/hm.gif |

konkoabove:My children will be greater than me. I am not the type that dream for other people, hence whatever they choose to do in life has my blessings. I hinged my point from the angle u came from, in essence, be proud of whatever u do!!! Whoever looks down on u, its d persons loss not yours. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by konkoabove: 7:03pm On Jul 10, 2023 |
Pearl1910:So your children must do something different from what you are doing before they can be greater than you? Is that what you are saying? |

fk001:This makes a lot of sense. Needless arguing with those who took Uber as a career. To them is a step up but not to everyone. You summed it.up quite nicely. |
