Hausas don't call themselves Gambari just like Yorubas don't call themselves Beerebe. Anybody called Gambari was so named by Yoruba people. In Ilorin it means your compound was founded by an Hausa man but no Ilorin man is an Hausa man. They are all Yoruba. In Kano, they will have Beerebe compound with Magaji and that compound was founded by a Yoruba man and the head of that compound is a descendant of a Yoruba man while he himself is Hausa. There is at least one Kano governor from that compound.

Let us even assume it is Fulani land and they identify and are accepted as Fulani. It would still be a dot of Fulani territory in a sea of Yoruba land, surrounded completely by Yoruba land on all sides. It is like saying one of the states in China is a Nigerian land. You see why someone making such a statement may be considered mentally impaired?.

Then what Ilorin can be is offshore Fulani territory if that is what the owners of Ilorin want it to be and to reach the rest of the Fulani country they will have to pass through Yoruba land or Yoruba airspace
