I have made this recommendation earlier to HE Peter Obi. That's the way to go. Mahmoud's criminality shouldn't grind the wheel of judiciary to a halt. Many cases are delayed in court because of this. It's unfair.

In my view, retired judges should refrain from getting involved in handling election matters. This is because they do not have as much at stake as serving judges do. Serving judges have their careers on the line and their retirement benefits at risk. Consequently, it would be more appropriate for the current judges to preside over proceedings related to elections.

I am in complete agreement with Afe Babalola. I have a case that's being in court since 2021 and it's like it's not lifting because of the continual closure of courts over one thing or the other. JUSUN will go on strike and paralyze court activities and before you know it, judges have gone on about 3 months break from July to September. Next, a State will shut down courts because a governor is swearing in new judges. Now it is election tribunals that's interfered with regular court and if you're further unlucky, your case gets adjourned for 3 to 6 months after a sitting of just 5-10 minutes.

Changing the constitution should only be an issue if the present is not substantially adequate and I don’t think this is the problem in large part it’s more that our people are rubber and like to bend bend rules.
