October 2022, Admissions were granted (LA Trobe University, Torrens University, Curtin University). I chose Curtin.
February 2023, Admission was deferred.
March 7, GTE documents were submitted.
March 9, GTE was passed and CoE was sent.
May 10, visa application was submitted.
July 9th, form 815 was requested.
July 10th, form 815 was sent.
July 13th, visa was granted.

No proof of fund was provided.
No home ties except spouse and child passports.
No landed properties
School is university of Newcastle
Course is MSC Information technology.
NOTE: We applied from United Arab Emirates. We are not currently living in Nigeria..

I have a question a cousin of mine just got a vistors visa to the uk , but has submiited his student visa application to australia before he got this uk visa. Should he upload the recent visa he got?

Let me share my cost effective trip to Adelaide.

At the time I wanted to book my flight from Nigeria, it will cost me approximately 1.4m. So I decided to transit through SA.

Nigeria to SA = 205k (Air Cote d'Ivoire)
SA to Adelaide = 550k (Qatar Airways)

You don't need a transit visa in SA, it is written on VSF and SA home affairs website. I also confirmed from SA embassy in Abuja before the journey began.

Just hold 5,000 extra for Nigeria Immigration Officer if them wan talk rubbish. I move smartly, didn't go for my bags in SA, I inform Qatar that my bags is with Air Cote d'Ivoire and they pick it up to my next flight.

You can use a dollar account to pay for your flight from SA to AUS. Naira card is not accepted. My friend in SA did that for me.

My waiting time in SA to catch the next flight is just 6hours. If you can take the risk, it worth it.

I end up saving 600k +

call the school to know whatsup and also try another school. GTE shouldnt take more than 2-5weeks max depending on the backlog,but once you start calling they can fasten your own.

GTE assessment shouldn't take that long. You have mind waiting for 3months. Why not try a different Uni?

Please i have some questions regarding my Australia journey. I have my Admission and visa granted and I'm suppose to start school on 20th of February but due to delay in getting fund for my flight ticket, Accommodation and living expenses, i told my agent to difer the Admission for next semester by may intake, which he has done. i want to know if am able to raise money by march, can i travel to Australia and start work while waiting for when my study would commence which is by the month of May. thank you all.
