surgical:Then why was Obi against Subsidy? Also, all you said would have been cool if we were actually paying the subsidy and not doing things like under recovery and oil swap. It means the money was not there. Even if we should subsidise, let's subsidise only the crude oil we sell to our refineries and Dangote (when they start working) and also find ways to sell effectively to our neighbours. Only then would subsidy make sense in our case. But at the moment, it's not feasible except state Governors decide to subsidise if they can. |

BobbieZion: True he has to hold that one on his head no doubt, and I’ve said the same in other posts here. I supported Obi and opposed Tinubu hard before the election. But he’s in the office now so will judge him in due time. 1 Like |

Johans2023: Lmao okay sir Like I said those are overly simplistic ways to judge things. Obi, who I supported before the election, would have had to do these things too. Fuel was going to sky rocket as was the Dollar. It’s necessary pains caused by Buhari’s economically illiterate policies. Let’s see how else PBAT tries to resolve the current suffering |

wegevv:see how foolish you talk. Is Buhari the person in charge of petroleum price? If Atiku is the president I believe he will put things in order before removing this subsidy. Buhari even paid subsidy up to June ending but tinubu removed subsidy in may. Why? You cannot destroy the whole house without provision of a temporary accommodation. Tinubu is a disaster that this country will ever regret. |

Johans2023: I’d rather be foolish than be a shortsighted socialists like you. Why am I not surprised that you support Buhari’s untrained policies that not only devastated businesses and livelihoods all around the country but also led to zero economic growth & huge decline in foreign investments. And of course you would prefer another northerner to continue keeping the country poor with the same policies in the name of subsidy handouts lol. What things would Atiku have put in order lmao? More borrow borrow and foolish spending while the economy keeps tanking shey? Do you know the country was spending 3 quarters of its budget on debt alone under the failed PMB. But your own is fuel price lol. These policies of unifying the Naira rate and ending fuel subsidies will eventually promote economic growth and when that happens most honest Nigerians will be okay. Obi would have done the similar, which is why I supported him. If Buhari wasn’t an inept coward he would have ended subsidy during his tenure or paid for it for the whole year. But as usual he chose to pass the buck. The suffering today is the failed Buhari’s fault and no one else. Time will tell if Tinubu is a disaster or not but he will have to do something drastic to be worse than the incompetent failure that was PMB 1 Like |

Today the exchange rate has further crashed to 1 Euro= N881 from N861 yesterday. The dollar is now equivalent to N796. I'm now beginning to see the benefits of defending the naira under Buhari's administration. This policy of the Tinubu government will destroy us all |
