The last time we had a President of Yoruba origin, he was not very kind to the top business elite of the Southwest. I can quite vividly remember the persecution of Otunba Mike Adenuga. No need to reopen old wounds by recounting that colossus' ordeal.

Now that political power has revolved full circle back to the Southwest, it is hoped that as the centre helps businesses nationally, there will be no repeat of history.

The Southwest is the economic superpower of Nigeria. If they thrive, the rest of Nigeria will thrive. Whether it is Adenuga, Otedola, Otudeko, or the other industrialists of the Southwest, here is praying that they experience the best years in the next four years.
