How do you watch football??
Writting off Ndidi and rating Onyedika, Daga, Onyeka ahead of him....The audacity though.
Why should Ndidi make the maim team? based on what benchmark? Abi na "name" we go chop?

Of course, I was waiting for this question. I name-dropped him purposely to check the depth and spread of your midfield coverage radar. Now, I have my answer😁

Joebie is right. Leaving out Ndidi now and including talented but "inexperienced" youngsters like Daga and Akinsanmiro is a NO for NOW.

Akinsanmiro is already of a profile we have hardly seen in the Super Eagles in recent times. A natural born mezzala. His time is coming.

As for Daniel Daga, he would in time "hopefully" grow to become "that guy" in the CDM role battling it out with a currently ready and top-flight-football tested Onyedika but FOR NOW, Ndidi remains strongly in the picture.

Understand something about transitions. It is not entirely swift. Most times, it's slow and requires a little more patience giving room for the upgrades to mature a little more before slotting them in permanently.

If akinsanmiro continues with his bench role for inter and makes cameo appearances for dem in leagues and play some cup games…he might even be considered for d nations cup

Based on what we are parading now in the middle, any performing midfielder should get invitation and good youngsters are coming up.

According to Oma Akatugba, Maduka Okoye will leave Watford and join Udinese on loan.

I hope he gets a chance to prove himself in Italy.

Hi doc I hear you but you're ignoring the quality of opposition and level of play Nwakali faces in comparison to our areas other midfielders.

The intensity of pressing and marking in Segunda is in no way comparable to what you will get in a top five league like to the EPL so the numbers you put up for him might not tell the full story.

I respect that you are have high regard for KC but I will say let's agree to disagree on his matter until he does it something substantial to change my mind..

TheSuperNerd:
Kelechi's high press resistance and quick playing style as regards ball releases as mentioned by TheGoodJoe ensures he isn't so easily bullied. He knows what to do with the ball before a marker comes close.

Also, I did a thorough analysis of our Nigerian midfielders' performance stats from the 22/23 season both in first and second divisions and Kelechi came out tops in Total duels won per game (5.5). So this talk of him being bullied so easily off the ball is pure fallacy. The eye test last season proved as much. Kelechi is one of the few midfielders we have today who you would literally have to foul in order to win the ball off him. He is that press resistant. You can't bully him easily off the ball.

I ignored nothing. I literally put everything on this thread but only few of you bothered to give it a look.

I watched a lot of La Liga Smartbank football last season and it is as intense as you expect a quality 2nd tier to be. It is up there technical quality-wise as well. I personally rate their technical proficiency over that of the Championship but the latter is more physically intense no doubt and more direct.

A player dropping 5.5 total duels won per game winning 61% of his overall duels in a 42 games season in La Liga 2 of which he played 36 is not be scoffed at.

Compare his numbers to players I put up playing in Bundesliga 2, Swiss league and the Greek League and you will see it's no hoax.

Eye test tells more to the story and I saw the games of Nwakali in La Liga 2.

Pass faster and move quicker. Identify spaces faster. That is how you deal with intensity. Not bulking up.

Ndidi's attacking performance yesterday impressed many, potentially changing the way big Premier League clubs view him. His limited contributions in attack due to recent injuries had led to him being overlooked before. However, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are now closely monitoring him, hinting at a potential surprise move.

Lille is eyeing Orban as a replacement in case D. Jonathan leaves. Meanwhile, Inter Milan fans are clamoring for Orban to replace either Lukaku or Corea.

Napoli is making efforts to sign Chukwueze from Villareal, but Milan is not giving up easily. Recent reports from Villarreal suggest that Chukwueze might be ready to push a move to Milan and has even packed his bags, especially after his team disappointing performance yesterday. However, Villarreal is waiting for Napoli's bid before accepting Milan's offer.

Akor Adams with a brace. Ajax watched him two weeks ago but were not convinced due to his limited ball carrying abilities. Anderlect, Blackburn Rovers and Gent (in case Orban leaves) are keen to sign him!

Who will he displace? Is it Osimhen, Moffi and Awoniyi who all scored double digits last season?

Iheanacho who's now a mainstay in the national team? Or Sadiq Umar and Onuachu with better stats? And we haven't even mentioned Orban, Boniface, Okereke or Dessers oh!
